A freak thunderstorm unleashed an ocean of water on us our second night, this is the soggy, frantic hammock setup that resulted. Because it was unanticipated, it left all our gear damp for the rest of the week-long trip.
This cornfield opened up next to a gas station. I don't know if you've ever had Nesquik and a Lunchable after 6 days in the woods, but it will probably be the best meal you've ever had.

The incredible number of bog bridges was mostly due to the incredible number of high-elevation beautiful beaver ponds.
I'm in love with those white blazes and the adventures they've led me to so far.

Well Canada isn't on the AT, but the AT is part of the Eastern Continental Trail that goes to Belle Isle. Maybe if I ever have a full year.
