I started reading these in the voice of the information guy in mass effect and it made it much more entertaining.
Mack1986
It's bothers me the list of figures isn't consistent between classes (crew for one, not the other etc)

Star Dreadnought?!? It is a Super Star Destroyer, heathen!
ProcrastinationInProgress
The crew counts seem to be very random
DaddiBlart
The Victory class planet defender, as it mercilessly rains hell on the planet below. I guess the best defense is a good offense.

STOP RESISTING! STOP RESISTING!
TemporaryUzername
how would you defend anything without suitable armament for retaliation?
PsychopompGecko
"You want this planet, eh? Well, probably not after I destroy everything on it!"
USD1
No no no its defending all the OTHER planets
BoozeHound001
"Sir the enemy has entered the system" Destroy the planet, it can't fall into enemy hands. "Sir, it's like three fighters." Do as I say.
thecomminator
Sounds like Warhammer
MundaneFinality
I mean, basically what happened in life debt.
MostValuableDickbutt
That's "Victory Class Star Destroyer", not "Planet Defender".
Jokeykilla
Stellaris star wars mod is pretty cool
MrSmilingDeath
Although it's a bit dated, I'd say check out the Star Wars Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels book. It's huge and fascinating. Giggity.
Butane9000
Some of these pilots & crew numbers seem impossible considering the ships vast size.
opticsdontlookright
Over 927 million people (maybe some are droids) needed to crew the 25,000 Imperial Star Destroyers. That's a lot.
Justapartofyourimagination
THis is missing some of the bigger shit.
IAlwaysPost140Characters
No Interdictor class? It's an important one in the extended now-non-canon stories. Helped the empire setup blockades and traps for rebellion

Why does the Venator Class Star Destroyer look like Jar Jar #conspiracy!
TheCroishKing
I like the big pointy one
ThisPlaceLooksLikeCalifornia
If you really want to bring manufacturing to America, start working on these.
mitsobar
25,000 Star Destroyers is absurd. That's nearly a billion people just to crew them. What need is there for even 10% of this number - none.
PeteTusk
Yes, and also what need is there for a Death Star if you have 25,000 Star Destroyers? None.
Yet it's all dwarfed by the silliness of Starkiller Base...
OldSchoolNewRules
How long is the Carrion Spike Cruiser?

4 favorite star wars ships: X-wing, Jedi Cruiser, Rebel Blockade Runner, Ep. 3 Jedi starfighter

what do we learn from this? Invest in Kuat Drive Yards.
b33pb00p
how do they even enough people to actually man all these ships? and how long does it take to build these? these are things I need to know.
WillTheFifth
Craigslist.
DatDarthCaedus
Well they had 25000 Imperial Star Destroyers (most common ones), presided over billions of star systems and had trillions in manpower...

That is by far the most utterly ridiculous thing I've ever read. I love it.

What universe is that big ass ship from?
esedu
it's a fan creation for star wars.
None sadly, it's non-canon, made by someone many years ago, the description was written up by someone else years later, lol

They ever explain why an executor class star destroyer was destroyed when an A-Wing comikazed into it's bridge?
IsPhrasingNotaThingAnymore
Because plot advancement in a terrible way? That always bothered me too.
Romale
dont' know why you're getting downvoted, the length of bullshit the explanation has is incalculable.
mithiwithi
The bridge was vulnerable because the deflector array protecting it had just been taken out. 1/2
Can't help you as to why it subsequently augered into the Death Star. Lack of redundancy in control systems, I guess. 2/2
GarandGunner
Just my own theory but I think they were already starting a maneuver when the bridge was destroyed, and had just picked up too much speed1/
2/ and was being pulled in by the Death Star's gravity. By the time the back ups kicked in it was too late
HouseOfEvil
Is no one gonna mention the one that looks like Jar-Jar?
TDent1
At first I was like "the transporter?" and then I scrolled up and was like "He's not wrong."

I have a bad feeling about this. *scrolls back up* AHHH DAMNIT! CAN'T UNSEE THAT NOW

True, but Incom sure make some nice fighters.

Muskrat42
*pushes up glasses* Kuat isn't a person. Its the name of the planet that the shipyards orbit like a giant ring.
SilentJoe0o
Well the name of the owner/ceo of KDY is Kuat of Kuat so he is right in this case. (although it's not canon anymore)
Jesus. Sometimes I'm glad the legends shit isn't canon.
dannishadow
That fact hurts more than I thought it would. Everytime I jump into a fun SW argument or talk about it with my step son. I'm like, oh yeah.
