#18 Who spear fishes in the open ocean with sharks around??? I've deep sea fished in The Keys (from the boat) and literally lost half the fish on the line shark poachers. Once you set the hook, and blood startes flowing, it's race to get the fish in the boat before the sharks have an easy meal.

100% yes, there are probably dozens of smaller pools of water available within a half-mile radius of that guy's yard that they'll chose over running water. They always chose stagnant (swampy/marsh/puddles) water over moving, even lakes aren't ideal because of the wind's effect on water movement in bodies of water that size.

Mosquitoes breed in standing/stagnant water not moving water like creeks or streams. The guy in that clip said that he's created a "river" fish habitat on his property with moving water, which means that aside from the fish eating the larvae like a buffet, the mosquitoes won't lay eggs there.
