Today I lost one of the best friends a man could ever have. Mango was just about to turn 10 years old, but was taken from us by paralysis ticks. I rescued him as a feral kitten, and in return he was a fluffy guardian angel for me and my family for a decade. I can't describe how much pain we're in now, but it was an honour to share my life with this most noble of creatures.

Oh I'm so sorry, how awful, and so young. I know this heartbreak too; years ago my Doobie had a heart attack at the age of 11. He was healthy and happy, it just came out of nowhere, was absolutely devastating.
