Correction as I've just learned: Borderlands uses NO cel shading, but a thing called the "sobel operator" for edge detection to apply a black line. Fuckin neat

cel shading is the lighting/shading being clamped. Think botw/windwaker.

First one is a hell of a lot of fun. Second one is great with a legendary bastard antagonist. Pre-sequel is decent. Part 3 was okay but lacked a good villain. Wonderlands is goofy fun with Will Arnett playing the big bad.

This isn't cel shading. Borderlands isn't cel shaded. Borderlands is American style comic book modeling (Thick outlines, exaggerated features) with standard shading/lighting. Cel shading is a completely different style.

It's a great cosplay, but I get the response. Drawn on shadows in real life for people who are moving with respect to a light source, especially any sort of rotation or twisting, is going to be a little weird.

not sure borderland actually qualifies as cel shading though. Cel shading will clamp the lighting/shading on models (think windwaker/botw). It's often used in pairs with the black outlines for a cool effect (but not always) and I think that's why people associate borderlands with cel shading. Remove the black lines in borderlands and its just cool stylised models rendered normally. source : im a 3D artist

what programs do I work with? mostly Maya, Zbrush, Unreal, Substance Painter & Designer, Photoshop, & Marvelous Designer. Theres a shit ton of other programs i dabbled in or occasionnally use but those are my "daily use" programs. I specialise in Character art, I make outfits for live games for the past 5 years but I like to touch on a bit of everything, I worked on personnal game projects here and there
