I get tired of seeing all the feminist bashing on here. Yes, there are a few whackos that can give feminists a bad name, just like Westboro Baptist gives Christians a bad name and radical jihadists give Muslims a bad name and white supremacists give conservatives a bad name. But don't throw the baby out with the bath water. It's not right to make people feel ashamed for being a feminist. I think most of us who frequent this site ARE feminists even if only a few of us would ever use the term because it has been dragged through the dirt and made shameful somehow.
I'm proud to be a feminist. That doesn't mean I see myself as better than men or the same as men. I'm not going to beat many men in an arm wrestling contest. But most of those men can't grow a new life inside them. We're different, separate, but equal. That's what feminism means.

Feminist is an intrinsically sexist term. Feminism is also a term relating to a number of different ideologies so that's not "what it means"
