I've done that James Bond one eighty in many cars. All manual transmission but big, small, old, new, van, etc. It's actually pretty easy going rev to fwd. Fwd to rev not easy at all, IMHO barely possible without rear wheel drive. Super fun and everyone should try it if you find a safe spot with ample room around.

Buy something beat to shit on the cheap that has a good supply of replacement parts, go have fun :) it doesn't need to be fancy and high horsepower, you could even have fun with an older V6 mustang with a manual transmission.

As cool as sliding around can be, personally, it doesn’t beat the feeling of taking corners 20mph+ faster than any 2WD could in a 4WD car. Some of the most fun I’ve had off-track was driving on canyon roads around the speed limit… without slowing down through the corners. Helped that I had really good tyres.

Hell it makes me want a car with pop-up headlights like my mom's 89 (?) Accord she had when I was a kid. Granted it fucked up a couple years after she got it and was one up / one down for a while.
