Sand is more reflective than asphalt would probably get less hot in those temps, still use caution while walking your sand cat in the city.

Asphalt also radiates accumulated heat so your dog will breathe hotter air than you during evening walks. Bring water even if temp seems ok.

Quick reminder, pavement is not the same as asphalt. The former is concrete, and is generally grey- the latter is tar, and generally black.

I think its to show an "average" hot temperature, then a "high" hot, then a slight increase. To show how quickly the pavement skyrockets.

It's accurate if you have prolonged direct sunlight on it. If it's 77 and cloudy or in the shade it will be closer to air temp.

Yeah I think the 60 seconds at 125 degrees is likely only if you leave your feet sitting on the asphalt rather than walking over it.
