Did it include molasses as an ingredient? I did a Ben Franklin beer with my local club. Won first because I forgot the molasses. it's harsh
No it's 100% mild malt. I've never used molasses.I've used treacle though and I've liked it

That must have taken ages to ferment ????for real though how long?
The Nottingham ripped through it,two weeks active fermentation and the I gave I gave the yeast a few weeks to clean up

Not a lot of refrigerators back then so that's probably why.
I've noticed that big bodied beers are best between 50-60F. I've got a few barrel aged that I drink at room temperature. Either way, cheers!

50-60f is room temp for me here on the coast of Oregon.
