Doctors ruled out the spectrum because of my ability to read other people's emotion and to connect. But they said that some of my childhood trait, like hating to have to look strangers in the eyes and chit-chat was ambiguous. The sure thing is, I spend most of my energy trying to act like a normal employee.
"stim" is a typically repetitive behavior (hand waving, head movement, rocking back and forth, etc) that people with Autism typically exhibit as a way to try to deal with sensory issues by stimulating (hence the name "stim") a tactile feeling they are familiar with.
these typically exhibit more strongly when the person is under stress, and HOLY CRAP being a stand-up comedian as an autist would be /almost/ the more stressful thing you could possibly do
