Darn, you're right! Never would have thought.

This one is my favourite, though I think the article itself is probably satire.

I hate that they put the answer above the article. Don't spoil it till I know what you're spoiling.

Cats purrr to heal and build bone density. ????????

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wrote both the ones about cats. Being an admin was fun, but I didn't get along with the guy running the pages so I left.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think a much more useful tool would be the same thing, but with fact checks.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If something has a clickbait title I don't even bother with it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a problem with them linking to the articles. Put it up for reference but break the URL to generate less traffic to the sites.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

yeah the French page only posts screenshots

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

+1 for the title alone

This is becoming a big problem for a lot of my favorite YouTube channels. Unbox Therapy is a big one...

Youtube is packed with vultures that use clickbait and other peoples' content for views.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They tend to do it because it works, unfortunately. Whether they wanted to or not, views are views.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I've been unsubscribed from them for a while now.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My favorite is when they ruin clickbait articles about their own page/recent interview they did!

like 50% or more, of imgur and 9gag are stupid posts like those

Thank you for helping keep this crap at bay (I think)

I ran a pet company's social media and I was basically the clickbait production line. I still feel dirty.

The gas one (#4) doesn't sound clickbaity at all. Also for older cars without fifty sensors and computerized fuel injection, 100% correct.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

it said they tested once with two cars. i assume you know why thats bad.

Klikin säästäjä for you finns out there

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

May not need premium, but we tried e-85 in or minivan. Went from 18mpg to 11mpg. Not worth it for us

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You use premium gas to prevent pre-ignition. Not necessary in most vehicles unless specified by the vehicle manufacturer

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But I wouldn't even see these if I didn't follow this page

The Independent newspaper (UK) is now resorting to clickbait headlines too. It's one of the more reputable papers, or so I thought.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Still better than the Daily Mail, though

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"we use them in our quilting every day"...

I feel like the more I see "stop clickbait" examples, the less needed they are.

Some inhalers contain tiny amounts of an amphetamine.

ITS FROM THE FUTURE!!! MAY 30TH!!!!!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have a supercharger. Regular fuel = pre-ignition. All my sensors would go nuts, and would potentially damage cylinders, gasket etc...

9 years ago | Likes 103 Dislikes 7

I have a focus. If I put premium in it it would probably somehow have an orgasm.

9 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 2

Nope. Read your owner's manual. On every Ford I've owned, it says premium gas is completely unnecessary and doesn't do any good.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Everything about the Ford Focus SCREAMS "premium"

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Try the Focus RS

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I drive a 2001 mercedes c class. If i put anything other than premium in my car the check engine light goes on, engine misfires if on long

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Mines a 99 W202 Kompressor. I'll try to make it to Petro-Can once in a while to put 94 in it. Kinda of a spa-day for the ignition system.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are very, very few vehicles where using regular fuel instead of premium would actually cause any damage. It makes the sensors freak(1)

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

(2)out and will definitely cause warranty issues with your dealer but the basic workings do not need premium fuel. On older cars it will

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Over time the engine would wear faster. Ether from detonation or the heat from advanced timing. If the computer pulls timing, MPG goes down.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

(3) even cause damage when the deposit layer that holds the seal after 200k miles gets dissolved by premium fuel. Supercharger needs it.

What...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Say that again. What?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're thinking of E85.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That can't be right

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Oops my bad

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably thinking about E-85

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That would make a lot more sence.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Premium is just higher octane, means it wont combust under pressure before spark ignition Nothing more My merc has a supercharger I use reg.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Mines a W202 Kompressor. Doesn't run properly on regular. Misfires, fault lights, multiple codes, idle stumble. Premium, it runs like new.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mines a C180 Kompressor 2003 i think, i'll fire premium in it next time and see if theres a noticable differeence.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Might take a few fills to get the regular out. If you've got any engine/chassis vibration you'll notice a change. Smoother acceleration.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm almost empty so should notice a change if there is one.
