I think some people just have nothing better to do than to listen to everything we have to say, then laugh about how they wasted my time... I get paid by the hour.
An amazing phone call.
probably 1%-5% of my calls are recycled numbers with the wrong name attatched
maybe 85% of my time
"oh, well do you ...like...uh... wine"

I'm never rude, I just tell them I'm in the bathroom with both hands busy- and give them time to respond to that !!!!

sometimes i just listen to what the telemarketer has to say, i'm sure they don't get to say it all much. i still don't buy or whatever tho

What do you think is the most polite way to hang up on a telemarketer? I always end the call as quickly as possible to not waste their time.

just jump on your countries do-not-call register, they are normally free and it will stop 95% of the calls.

Registering for do not call more than 6 months ago has stopped maybe 1 call a day of 15, had use 3rd party apps to stop calls, Mainly becaus

In Germany calling someone, who didn't ask you to call, to sell something, is illegal. Its called a "cold acquisition".

im in australia, and it is perfectly legal, but with strict operating hours.

That explains why I never got a call like that, my phone is on "only ppl I know well" mode during work hours.

Unfortunately for "legitimate" telemarketers, in the US, there are so many scammers, I treat every unsolicited caller like the trash 1/2
