Also eat or drink a hydralite drink. Dehydration isn't just about water and if you have sweated out all the goodies water isn't enough

I had both of these this week during a soccer camp in 105°F weather. It sucked. I drank gallons of water, but could barely drink enough.

I've had heat stroke 2x. Once as a kid b/c my dad doesn't believe in sunscreen, no joke. Then in my sr year. Only lasting effect is 1/2

May be somewhat chronic dehydration. Water regulates temp in the body, not enough of it and it can't do that anymore.

Give him room temperature water to drink. If it's too cold, the body temperature will drop too low. Call 911, in both cases.

If he needs cooling from the outside, use wet towel. Again, room temperature. If you hose him down with ice cold water, he will freeze.
