I used to do that with friends. My neighborhood is near a river and there was some good slopes in a few places. We would build a table top1/

Get some avalanche training, a beacon, probe, and shovel. Once you leave the resort you are no longer in avy managed terrain.

I just remember even a few years ago being able to drive from Olympia to Seattle and having at max it take an hour and twenty minutes
