No civilized society should do business of any kind with Zionists.
Don't stop at boycotting their flagship country in international trade. Push them out entirely from the economy. There should be no Zionist-owned stores, services, companies. No Zionists should be allowed to pursue any trade or profession.
After years of just watching and buying more shit from them ? When i looked into it i was a bit shocked that ireland did in fact buy a shitload of stuff from isreal
Unfortunately it's not true, they are "banning imports of goods from 'certain Israeli settlements' in the occupied Palestinian territories". It's also not the first European nation that does that and it happened two months ago.
Fun fact. Potatoes came from Peru, imported by some asshole that enslaved the whole continent. And the potato famine was a fucking fungus while the now UK imported potatoes for their armies while irish were famined, because of a paper contract.. a paper that nowadays is digital like a pdf, ??? Fuck that too.
The Israeli Settlements (Prohibition of Importation of Goods) bill prohibits the import of goods from "certain Israeli settlements." Those include residential, agricultural and business interests that lie outside Israel's internationally recognized borders.
Yup and it only refers to goods, not services. Also, Spain did a stricter variant of this before Ireland so every single part of OP's statement is false.
So the ban is not actually on goods from Israel, but more specifically on good from Israeli settlements - so places like the west bank etc. Import of goods from Israel it self is still allowed
Well the tech and funding goes back and forth. Are there US investors? Sure; but the tech is coming from Israeli companies. Lots of farming tech to deal with droughts and such. They have almond orchards with minuscule water footprints compared to US orchards.
This applies to the farming innovations sure, but most of the weapons and tech are joint ventures. As most of their tech runs on U.S. based components and its research is heavily subsidized by U.S. defense initiatives fx DTCI. Most of their AI and other surveillance runs on U.S. cloud based tech companies such as microslop and amazon.
And so? There are Israeli tech firms that are owned and operated by Israelis. Which is the answer to the original question. Are there other types of companies that are US/Israel collabs? Sure. But so what? That's not the question that I was answering. Or are you saying that NONE of the companies in Israel or solely owned and operated out of Israel? Are you saying that Israelis can't or don't operate independently? What is your end goal in this conversation?
Sadly with the Iran situation, Russian crude is more important then ever for the globe. Luckily due to the fact that Ukraine strikes only Refineries and not wells, Russia has so much crude they don't know what to do with it and with international sanctions Russia has to sell it at a price that is just enough to keep the wells open and has no spare profit to flow into the war machine. I'm okay with that export.
Ah, so the sins of the father are eternal, until paid off? I'll let Mongolia know. They sacked most of Eurasia, and I bet the interest over 800 years is something.
At least several of these nations have denounced their former leaders' misdeeds.
But, no. We're not allowed to be better than we were at our worst moment, I guess. At which point, EVERYONE is guilty.

I am so proud to be Irish!
BrengKapiteinKoekTerug
They are doing the exsct same thing the Dutch already did lol.
They didn’t ban goods from Israel, but from the settlements on the west bank.
So not the first and not a ban on their actual goods.

Ireland is also our most undermined (by the billionaires) country of EU. Maybe Malta is up there with it. Just saying

Ireland. we love you

Fuck yeah! And the announcement being made in that wonderful Irish accent just makes this even better

Engaging in genocide should basically just be on off switch for all international trade and commercial/tourism travel.

Its banning import from settlement in Israel from what I understand, not Israel as a whole. As on how they do that effectively I don't know

Its not like ireland was the 3rd biggest buyers of isreal exports, after the usa and China...

Yeah. This ban is meaningless. Israel just relabels stuff from occupied territories as made in Israel.

It gets upvoted more this way.

What does Israel even export thats worth buying other than guns?

Avocados

Wait do they seriously grow enough avocados to be a meaningful exporter?
Seems they also export a good deal of diamond which I was also unaware of.

Ireland has a Russian owned alumina plant open and shipping Russia. The town where the plant exists even has Russian language street signs.
BillHubbard
I recall the Irish government put an end to that?

As of 4 days ago the exports continue to rise. And Ireland may have just vetoed adding Aluminium to the latest tranche of EU-Russian sanctions.
