I'm down on vacation in Miami, Florida visiting the in laws. During the fireworks on the 4th this little pupper comes running up to me. No collar, no nothing. She has scabs all over her body I figure she's a stay. She was shaking so bad so she sat in my lap for 20 minutes while me and my wife decide what to do.
After a bath and shampoo and some food and water, she's a very loving doggo.
I'm checking for fleas and any other signs of medical problems.
She loves the stritches. Turns out we have 2 days to find the owner or she's riding 1400 miles home with me to have a forever home.

The patches look like hotspots. They're usually super itchy so some oatmeal shampoo and hotspot spray might work. Works for my pup in FL

No chip, we have called several local pounds and vets to see if any has reported a dog like this missing and no luck. Also have posts on /1

Now both the vet and pounds have a description of dog in case owner shows up. Take it home and love it to bits! And dont feel bad about it.

They need to check the chip and rightfully should check with the police. Think if it were your dog and hot loose out of panic from fireworks

Dogs are seen as property yes but proving that a dog was stolen is key. We don't just write stolen property reports for anything.
