I'll admit I don't understand #40 … little help?

Dignity. Kirk Van Houten (Milhouse’s Dad) draws it when playing Pictionary at the Simpson’s house. It’s the episode when his wife divorces him.

Bridge of death scene in Chernobyl HBO miniseries. Bunch of families gather on a bridge for falling snow, not knowing it’s radioactive ash falling and they’ve just killed themselves. Men, women and children.
TankardHoot
Why are you crying? It's just a picture.
lovehandlesmessiah
I remember seeing that in the theater and my 5-year-old wondering why me and every adult in the place was sobbing quietly.
SouYuck
WIth Logan i kinda expected it, still hit, but with Arcane, that fucked me up.....
MayMayz4DayzYo
I didn’t even care about Isha up until that scene. It fucking broke me.
SouYuck
Same, such a minor role with such a big impact

Everybody acted the shit out of that episode but I find Emma Caulfield's performance the most touching

fun fact I was doing a rewatch and had just started this episode when I got the call my grandpa (who was the closest thing I had to a dad) died. December 2013.
PackedCatMeowingPowerDensity
YO THATS NOT A FUN FACT! My deepest sympathies. But scenes like that, where it does not fade to black and then continues with griefing people, but it acts them out, shows us we are one and the same in these situations. No matter when we got the call my grandma died, when your grandpa passed, or my mom passed in her sleep in the hospice. It's always the same. Shock, panic, realization, grief.

What show?

Oh, I'm in the middle of a rewatch and that episode is just a few away. I'm not looking forward to it
TeenageMutantNinjaTurdHoles
I’m in the middle of a rewatch with my 15 yo son and this one came up last week. He was devastated. 🥺
qtRaven
Not sure which death was worse. This one or Season 6.
PlacentaEaters
Are you talking about the girl Buffy tried to save for an entire episode? That was season 7. Those were the only deaths that had no supernatural ties in the entire show
qtRaven
Tara's death in Season 6 hit me like a truck. Shot by a madman with a gun. Nothing supernatural about it.
MadamPuddifoot
I think I'm the only one in earth who hated Tara. She was way too meek for Willow.
phantomfaith88
I remember reading spoilers of it the morning before the episode aired. Spent all day hoping the spoilers were fake but alas.
PlacentaEaters
Oh, Tara. I forgot about that because I was thinking deaths from natural causes
