I've been in parades at Disney for over 11 years now. This is why I do what I do.
SatanBakes
It was always my dream to work at Disney. My nephew's were so thrilled when they got to go &just see Cinderella's castle.
thehighestofways

I'm always suspicious of stuff like this. They were kids from overseas, but knows English? From britain, australia, new zealand? Maybe.
mochara
Depending on their ages this isn't unusual. The majority of kids in European countries learn English at a very young age and can speak it.
BoredBird
Also the fact that they were not being handled by their origin countries embassy or that their parents had apparently gotten one way ticket?
beerbarrel
Americans are almost the only people who don't know more than one language. Ex-English colonies all over too, don't forget.
Zekarul
Read that as Tor Guide first time. Carry on.

I'm wrecked. But so glad I saw this. Thanks, OP. I had been having a tough day.
DurendaI

Buddy of mine was "Friends with Goofy" and occasionally was scheduled for meet and greets at Arnold Palmer for terminally ill children (1)
He said those were his hardest days, but by far the most rewarding (2)
I think that's something I could never do work with dyeing people or even worse children my heart would be broken so fast.
MegWasHere
...I feel like taking two small kids to an amusement park shortly after losing both parents is kind of a fucked up thing to do.
tonythetiger583
Super fucked up. I don't know how this is heartwarming at all.
joshyjosh
it was to refund the tickets to get them money to try and get back home, they weren't expecting what followed
WhatTheFrench
This. And keep in mind, if they'd been discharged from the hospital, they'd have nowhere to go, really.
That makes no sense whatsoever.
UndercoverDumbledore
I'm with you. Since when would a hospital make 2 young children go somewhere to get a refund? They'd contact family and insurance!
Or, y'know, an embassy?
And if they want a refund they aren't expecting to go in "Hey, come with us to see the fun you could be having if your family hadn't died!"
HPWombat
Yup. Crying.
NihilistChristian
Yep. Me too.
