Meera always lurking around. Fe is getting gray hairs!
Baby Girl is struggling through a Cushings related kidney infection right now. We just started meds yesterday so hopefully she recovers soon.
The Mayor of Shrewville (see following picture) brought in a little friend through the dog door and I feel like it got away from her. As she waits patiently for its return. I am grossed out.

Hes doing great! Better than ever. We have had limited visits to the veterinarian. No surgeries in a few years. He’s just living life.

She is. But that's to be expected of a GSD/Husky (mom) and doodle (dad) mix that's runt of the litter. Only 10.25# @ almost 3 months old while her siblings already twice her size. Neighbor said she was the quietest most chill of the litter but now that is a lie once Ms. Leia got comfortable and realized she no longer had to deal w/ 19 other pups, 7 dogs, and 6 kids. Routinely Wile E. Coyote herself off bed, deck, etc.

But what is Felix’s backstory?
I ask with trepidation, because I think I can sadly guess the answer, and if the answer is along the lines of what I suspect , then there’s some not good boi humans to whom I wish to teach the meaning of karma.

He actually has a great backstory. He was born this way. He has a complete cleft lip and palate. It took me about three years and several surgeries to get him to the point where he can live a normal life! I picked him up as a rescue worker when he was 11 days old and somehow managed to keep him alive this long haha.

Good job taking care of him. I have disabilities (not like his thankfully) and it sucks to have people give up on you for medical problems that you didn’t choose. People should adopt disabled pets more.

Oh he’s extra for sure. His tongue has no muscles on the left side and it is quite lengthy 🤣. And slimy. I promised him I would not give up and I have not. Thank goodness we got to a comfortable place where he just requires one yearly checkup. He lived at the vet for three years , seems like!
