Italian beauty

Since I hardly see my country, Italy, on Imgur, I decided to draw up a list of my favorite tourist destinations, which can be useful in case you are planning a visit here (photos taken from Google images, Blame Google translator if you see any grammatical error)

1)Tre cime di Lavaredo(Trentino-Alto Adige)

The imposing mountain , is famous all over the world. The highest peak, located in the center, is the large summit, with a height of 2,999 meters, the west summit is also very well 2,973 m and the small summit reaches 2,857 m. Since the first ascent of the three peaks, completed in 1869, the mountain range has become one of the most popular destinations in the Alps

2)Burano(Veneto)

The colorful houses are the hallmark of the island of Burano. They are the attraction that drives people to visit it and also the memory that remains imprinted when you leave the island. Legend has it that in the past the fishermen had colored their houses to differentiate them from one another and to recognize their own from afar, returning from the sea after fishing.
Burano is a very quiet island that you visit in a day and which is striking for the serenity and the colors of its landscape.

3)Lago di Resia(Trentino-Alto Adige)

In Val Venosta, in front of the majestic mountains of the Vallelunga there is a bell tower that emerges from the water making the place fabulous and fascinating.
The lake of Resia is the largest in South Tyrol in the municipality of Curon and the submerged bell tower refers to a sad memory. Here once, in fact, there were three natural lakes. Beyond that of Resia there were the Curon and the San Valentino alla Muta. In 1950, they were unified with the construction of a dam. The work caused the complete submergence of the ancient town of Curon, which was transferred elsewhere.

4)Reggia di Venaria (Piemonte)

The Royal Palace of Venaria Reale is one of the Savoy Residences, part of the UNESCO Serial site, inscribed on the World Heritage List since 1997.
The Venaria palace was designed by the architect Amedeo di Castellamonte. It was commissioned by Duke Carlo Emanuele II who intended to make it the base for hunting trips on the hilly Turinese moorland.

5)Forte di Bard(Valle d'Aosta)
The fort of Bard is a fortified complex rebuilt in the nineteenth century by the House of Savoy on the fortress overlooking the village of Bard, in Valle d'Aosta.
After a long period of neglect, the fort has been totally restored with interventions inspired by design and conservative recovery: it was opened to visitors in January 2006.

6)Cinque terre (Liguria)

The Cinque Terre are ancient fishing villages located along the indented Italian coastline. Each of these villages is characterized by colorful houses and vineyards clinging to the steep terraces built on the coast. The ports are crowded with fishing boats and in typical restaurants you can try the seafood specialties, as well as the famous Ligurian condiment: pesto. The Sentiero Azzurro, a hiking path that stretches along the coast, connects the Cinque Terre with each other and offers splendid views of the sea

7) Grotte di Frasassi(Marche)

Inside the karst cavities you can admire the natural sculptures formed by calcareous stratifications over 190 million years thanks to the work of water and rock. The water, flowing on the limestone, dissolves small amounts of limestone and falling to the ground, during a trickle that lasts for millennia, deposits and forms the concretions of considerable size and shapes, sometimes even curious.

8) Cascata delle Marmore(Umbria)

The Cascata delle Marmore is one of the most famous waterfalls in Italy. It is located in the Valnerina, in the marvelous Natural Park of the Marmore Falls. If you pass near Terni the Waterfall is one of the obligatory places to visit: its beauty has fascinated poets and writers over the centuries, and continues to fascinate every year thousands of tourists who decide to visit it.

9)civita di Bagnoregio (Lazio)

Civita is a fascinating medieval city, almost completely intact from the Renaissance.
The citadel is situated on the summit of a remarkable hill and offers itself an incomparable spectacle to those who observe it from the panoramic spots of Bagnoregio.
Today, Civita di Bagnoregio has only about 10 permanent residents throughout the year, so few that has been dubbed "the dying city". Many of the buildings in Civita are bought by wealthy Italians who come here for the holidays. However, the city suffers from the constant erosion of its volcanic rock in the valley below and for this fragility of the whole complex, it is certainly one of the most fascinating places to visit, first perhaps that some more substantial collapse or mini usability.

10)Santuario di castelpetroso

The structure is dominated by the central dome, 52m high that supports all the radial architecture and symbolizes a heart, completed by 7 side chapels. The front part is dominated by the façade which has three portals wedged between the two bell towers. The sanctuary is accessed by 3 doors, all in bronze, the one on the left made by the Pontifical Foundry Marinelli of Agnone, which also supplied all the bells. Just inside you can not help but notice the impressive dome, surrounded by 48 glass mosaics representing the Patron Saints of the various countries of the Diocese.
Over the years, pilgrimages have increased more and more, as well as having alternated visits such as that of Pope John Paul II in 1995. Thanks to the people of Poland, the nation of origin of the Pope, there was a turning point in the construction of the Sanctuary.

11)Alberobello (Puglia)

Alberobello is a town in Puglia, known for the Trulli, the original houses in dry stone, whitewashed with lime and the cone-shaped roof made of exposed stones. Crosses, pierced hearts and zodiacal symbols decorate the roof of each trullo, which preserves its mystery intact. It is a maze of winding alleys, with more than 1000 trulli, the Monti district, the oldest in the city, together with the Aia Piccola district, where Casa Pezzolla stands out, a complex of 15 trulli communicating today used as a museum of the territory, and the trullo sovereign, which hosts shows and concerts

12)Matera(Basilicata)
Matera is one of the oldest cities in the world whose territory holds evidence of human settlements starting from the Paleolithic and without interruption until today. It represents an extraordinary page written by man through the millennia of this long history.
This is the city of stones, the original urban nucleus, developed from the natural caves carved into the rock and subsequently modeled in increasingly complex structures within two large natural amphitheatres.

13)Spiaggia dell'arco magno (Calabria)

The beach of San Nicola Arcella Arcomagno is certainly one of the most popular destinations of the Calabrian high Tyrrhenian and among the most beautiful beaches of Calabria. A spur of rock about 100 meters above sea level, offers a breathtaking view of the enchanting Calabrian coast, embracing the nearby island of Dino and the surrounding area that includes the entire Gulf of Policastro

14)Isole Eolie (Sicilia)

The Aeolian archipelago consists of 7 islands (Alicudi, Filicudi, Lipari, Panarea, Salina, Stromboli and Vulcano) arranged on a 90km long sea arch along the north eastern coast of Sicily. The Aeolian Islands are all of volcanic origin and even today there are some volcanic manifestations such as the submarine hot springs and thermal muds of great therapeutic affection.
