I think taking some black thread and making the beady eyes by embroidering them is best so that a baby can't bite them off and choke.

Adorable. Sugestion for deciding on the best placement of the eyes: make 2 black circles cut out of masking tape. Place around. When u like/

2/ where placed, saw thin black thread making the outline. Then remove and fill out with silk thread. Just a suggestion in case it helps.
