That work/life balance

You know I'd like to think that he tossed up front and kept it

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Luigi has fallen on hard times, but he doesn't let it dull his sparkle!

Luigi got hops

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

GIFs that end too soon

7 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

For once I was glad of that. Now I can choose to believe he didn't throw the toy in truck but took it home to his kids.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Aw, it cut off right before the swan dive into the back. I bet he had great form.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It's a me Luigi

This is from trailer park boys

Giving the trampoline a last few bounces before taking it away to be put down.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sad to landfill stuff like that... it could have a second chance if it was donated to a thrift store or just given away on CraigsList

7 years ago | Likes 466 Dislikes 4

Facebook comments of a friend of theirs said something broke and the metal was sticking out and unsafe for kids or something

7 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

OH MY GOD! Tramampoline! Trabapoline!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I worked for a dumpster company for a while and you would not believe the shit rich people think is garbage. It fucking blew my mind daily

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Stories please!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True, but looks like this footage was taken in the 1900's, before the age of Craigslists.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shit, around here all I do is put a free sign on it and it's gone!

7 years ago | Likes 84 Dislikes 0

You live in Barberton Ohio too?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Here, too. Once got to see a family take tons of Christmas ornaments. Even took the toddler out of the stroller to load it up. So fun.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I remember when I didn't live in a good neighborhood.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Around where I live you don't even have to put a free sign on it!

7 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Around here all you have to do is keep your door unlocked

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Around my place, just walk at night.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Once I saw a lady carrying a box that said "free" while I was on the highway. So I pulled over, and waited ten minutes till she's gone (1/?)

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

I ran up to the box and saw it was full of a fresh litter of animals. So I dumped them out and took the free box. (THIS IS A JOKE)

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

What's the joke? Good boxes are hard to come by.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Serious question? Wtf is landfilling smth? In sweden it is illegal to just dump thrash on the sidewalk.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They aren't dumping trash on the sidewalk, our trash service will pick just about anything up with the cans.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Sorry wrong phrasing. I mean this type of trash we dispose of ourselfes in big sorting stations were it is recycled

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok, you can do that here too, but curbside pickup is included in trash fees.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

landfill = big hole in the ground, often lined with plastic, that we dump garbage into before covering it over with dirt. AKA "the dump."

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

That is horryfing

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You know what else is horrifying? Burning all your non-recyclable waste, which is what Sweden (mostly) does.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And after some quick googling, I also discovered that Sweden does have landfills which are called "deponi."

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I agree. We do not have a perfect system. Not blind to that. But I am glad we agree on the fact that both of those options are horrific

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This looks like TPB and that guy looks like Trevor.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks more like Cory though

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I totally meant Cory. I get them confused all the time.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So glad someone else saw him too!

Luigi and the Magic Trampoline.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where in the world does trashmen have to manually get the bin in the truck and people can leave a trampoline to be picked up like that?

7 years ago | Likes 144 Dislikes 5

Well the truck does have Brush Script on it so it’s probably just a small time contractor

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

USA baby.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

A lot more places than you think, obviously, based upon the comments

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That gif is exactly how it works here in my part of Texas.

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Where I live we pay a special tax, the tax allows us to throw near anything away. Under certain guidelines.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pretty much everywhere. We have both at our company

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We didn’t have the automated ones until a couple years ago. The trash men always had to do it manually. (South east US)

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Here in FL, if you can get it to the curb, they will pick it up.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Aus we have road side pick up once a year for big stuff you can’t put in bins

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In Canada as well generally depending on city specifics. some have 2 a year and then paid pick ups if you need more for larger items.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In France, every truck I've seen you just stick the container at the back and it's lifted and emptied by the truck at the press of a button

7 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Same in Finland

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not to mention, that bin is literally designed to be picked up by a robot arm.

7 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

We had the bins designed for robot arms for years before they started replacing the trucks. Makes sense as the trucks as expensive.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

sometimes the truck with the arm breaks down and they have to go to the backup manual load.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which begs the question, why didn't they just buy two trucks with arms.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Thats the stupidest thing I've ever heard, you're fired" - the boss probably

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Boss then fires half the workforce, buys 2nd truck with arms, gets promoted due to cutting expenses.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At my brothers place in Chicago you can leave just about anything, even sofas at no extra charge.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe it's broken, but I do see the mechanism to lift the bins onto the truck. Or maybe it's preference

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm in the U.S. and I've seen garbage trucks on TV with an arm that lifts the trash cans up, but never once in real life.

7 years ago | Likes 77 Dislikes 2

In Colorado I've lived all around here. Seems to be about 50-50

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the ones where have them, but they only do bin pickup

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Come on over, we have them here. Trash pickup is on Friday, make sure you put out the recycling bin too it's full.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Monday I start my job as a garbage collector. We got 3 types of trucks. Side arm one, front loading one (dumpsters) and back mech arms.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We don’t have the manual ones anymore. Not fully sure about that. The back mech arm is where I place it at the back. I dont lift it tho.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Welcome to the trade!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lived in AZ, CO, and WV, I've never had a truck with the robot arm. I think mainly larger cities have them?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s really sad. Our trucks here in Canada are all automated. One for garbage, one for recycling and one for compost.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Guess back injuries are fine in countries where the government isn't paying for health care

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I'm In Australia, and garbage trucks all have an arm to lift and dump bin in top, all done from the cabin. Can't manually dump it in at all.

7 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Rural Ontario Canada here, NO robotic arms at all, "Sanitation Engineers" lift everything by hand. Neighbor has a trash can like that, why?

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If it directly dumps into the top, how do they get the bin out if it accidentally slips out of the arms? Best is to have the front shovel:

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the thing in front where the arms dump into the shovel-like scoop, so the driver can manually dump stuff into there or reach in to remove.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw1te-wgGAo a good show of an older type garbage truck. These can be driven from both sides.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are also 2 large suction cups that slurp onto the front of the bin as well as the grippers.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Michigan, that's all we have. One person can take your trash from the comfort of his truck.

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

We also have "bulk pickup" like once a month. Lol.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

GR here. We have both at our company

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Saginaw, the waste authority won’t pay for the automatic way, all manual on our garbage men

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My town switched over to them about 5 years back. We got a big influx of upper-middle-class families with new housing developments so...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hmmmm, where in the US?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m in the US and we don’t even have trash pick up. Have to haul your stuff to the transfer station.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You must be way out in the boonies!
