I just did a bow run in ds1 to see how bad it was and I was surprised at what it could do. Probably sucks for PvP though

It's a solid weapon, always has been. It's not boring, just unoriginal I suppose. Estoc was certainly fun in 1 though, was the weapon I made a Dex build to use, that sweeping R2 was nice.

Yeah it is, keeping slash and stabbing damage comes in real handy, and for a one handed weapon that sweep was about as wide as the claymore itself.

Farron Greatsword or bust. Was so disappointed by the lack of weirdass weapons when going back to 1 and 2 that I just fully switched to magic instead.

I usually chilled with claymore and winged spear for main weapons and lightning miracles and pyromancy to back them up. I always play as a balanced character, though so the old remains bold.

Farron is fun, I managed to nuke an invader that caught me while I was setting up my current armor set because they weren't expecting me to wrap around them 50 times while bonking them with an UGS.

Ha! Nice. Using it to confuse the hell out of invaders was my favorite part. My final build was a str/dex balance of the Farron greatsword, the burst fire crossbow, and a secret bleed whip switch for anyone who tried to hide behind big shields.

Noice, the bladed barbed whip always stays in my inventory for it's use against Havel if naught else. I don't use bleed often, but it hits real hard if they have a fat healthbar.
