For "Dracula Day"

It's always Halloween tho?

#22 I like how the kid sees the human head and is like "ok cool, head for dinner" and only gets freaked out when the head starts screaming.

#28 when were these 3 working together?

5 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They worked on Peter Jackson productions, which were back to back filming in New Zealand

5 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The stores already have the decorations out

5 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They had candy out already mid August

5 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just hoping for people to eat it all and buy more

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#28 Peter Jackson sure knows talent!

Guys, it's 96 degrees out. It's going to be 98 tomorrow, and 99 the day after - all at 85% or more. Yeah it's September, but global warming means we're going to be stuck with summer for the rest of our lives.

5 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

And? We can still celebrate spooky season.

4 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The increasingly faint voice of my former child remembers that September is supposed to be cool and dry. It made pulling on the Halloween costume - an extra layer - kind of welcome.

Loved her in Charmed. Had to look up how she is doing now and she seems genuinely a good person. Activism against Trump, Elon and Nazis. Actively on the side of rainbow folks too.

#3 Just went to Aldi and there's pumpkin spice shit everywhere. Even mac n cheese. So glad i do the shopping and not my wife. For a bog witch semi feral goblin she does have one basic white girl weakness

4 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I myself fell to weakness and recently bought Pumpkin spice flavored Frosted Mini-Wheats.

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Those actually sound good. Question, do you eat them w/ milk or straight out of box? I find that particular cereal to lack structural integrity so it becomes instant mush

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I prefer most cereal cold out of the box

#21 They really did say "Let's make a tv show about a ghost who wants to marry a child".

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That goddamn halloween song Halloween 3.

5 days ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

You should check of Lost Themes if you haven’t already: John Carpenter spending his retirement writing the soundtracks to movies he didn’t make and then DJing them in Ibiza and Foreverland

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My entire life, I have wished that they went along with the original plan for the Halloween movies instead of endless shotty iterations of Michael Myers.

4 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

#28 what was this, halfway between filming Heavenly Creatures & The Frighteners?

5 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Most likely, since both were filmed in New Zealand

5 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

#1 remember how shows in the 90s-2000s, like charmed, always had one female character that they played up as the uglier/fat one, even when they clearly aren't? I remember for this show it was the one with the sharpest eye brows. She was still skinny and pretty, but they always have one to portray those values by being a healthy weight instead of skinny af. A weird hollywood/tv thing of the time that I feel we are still not really fully past.

I think you mean Piper. Paige and Phoebe were very thin and Piper always looked healthy. Piper kicked serious ass though, they needed her muscle.

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe, tbh I was too lazy to look it up. Sometimes I just remember weirder trends.

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I enjoy pumpkin spice flavored things. Just not when its still in the 90’s outside. Below 70 only

5 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

#18 Halloween is the vibe, not some cheap, mass produced junk.

#8 My mom watched a lot of Mystery! on PBS, and I can confirm: That intro animation is amazing.

4 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

In SF there's an annual ball that celebrates Gorey's work. This year's theme was the Gashlycrumb Tinies. Macabe, weird and wonderful in the best possible way

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hunh. I'll admit, I didn't know the creator's name, much less any other works. Maybe my mom might have. But it was enough for me to know that was a tremendously artistic piece that encapsulated pretty much all the classic mystery tropes.

#16 I absolutely must know where this is from!

#32 I am ashamed to tell everyone how long I stared back at this image waiting for the eye to be fucked with in some horrible way because I thought it was a video.

5 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If that's the eye I'm thinking of it's about to get fucked. It's from 1979 Italian horror film Zombie (also known as Zombi 2 or Zombie Flesh-Eaters)

5 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There is another eye-scene in another film by Lucio Fulci called "The New York Ripper" (1982). It features a razor blade, and is disturbingly authentic-looking. I think the SFX were done by legend Tom Savini.

5 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have not heard of this movie, but it's on YouTube

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That splinter tho...

5 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Good to know my instincts were correct, though I’m not a fan of the horror genre. I’m a retired Emergency Doc, I’ve seen enough horrors.

#16 Song is "The Autumn Wind" by George Streicher. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nA-jmnW6xBY

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The scene itself is from Over the Garden Wall, if anyone hasn't seen it I implore you, spend the time. It's very worth it.

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes! I watch it every October. I probably should have mentioned it too...

#19 That's Stephen King's son. The boy, not the skeleton

5 days ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Is the skeleton his other son?

5 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thank your for the clarification.

I know the audience

Thanks for clearing that up.

Joe King, AKA Joe Hill, a talented horror writer in his own right.

#9 This might be a hot take, dunno, but It's Terror Time Again is the superior Scooby Doo song.

5 days ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

That’s like the biggest thing I remember from that movie it’s pretty dang good for a Scooby Doo song.

These! These are the debates the Internet was created for. Not whatever everyone else is using it for now.

#6 i got to visit the Catacombs... its... a weird place. There is a genuinely eerie feeling of being miles underground surrounded by thousands upon thousands of lost souls and bones.

5 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Kinda like my job, then. Minus the added humiliation of punch cards.

5 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Youre lucky, you got punch cards at least. Its at least a false semblance of humanity and order...

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, of order, at least.
