Honestly most automatics probably shift faster. It's the launch that gives manuals the edge. And launch control control will beat that.

Well, it is handy when parking, since it is close to first gear. In parking lots going from R to 1st is common, unlike going from R to 5th.

Not sure how it is for other states but to get a class B CDL in Kentucky you have to be able to double clutch
