Yeah, target shooting and maybe some field in the future. I'm in the U.K. so hunting isn't on the cards.

I'll admit you won't preform within the same margins with a recurve vs compound. But you can still hunt just fine with a long bow.

I have a 70# at 31 inch draw long bow. Dosent have much power past 30 yards. That said, modern broad heads don't need much power really.

A proper traditional longbow from a reputable maker is £400+. Mass produced flat bows you can get for around £120.

Nice. I'm not sure as to the exact length of this one. I'll measure it up tomorrow but I think it should be about 72" between the nocks.

From someone who shoots one similar, there is something to be said for learning "shotgun gap shooting" as I call it.

Basically, learn your anchor, stance, then draw as you come up to sight, release when close to sight. Reverse of japanese draw.
