I have a theory if an article or post has a number in the title it's likely bait. Top 10 ___. Best 5 ___. Only 12 ___ you need. 10 Tips ___.

Thanks. (puts down beer). Where's my shorts?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Glute bridge guy is surprisingly erotic.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Squats, kettlebell swings, pull ups, push-ups (preferably from hanging rings), Turkish Get-Ups, kettlebell press & a skill hobby ????????⚽

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You only need 3 exercises: squat, bench, deadlift. They also cure cancer.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm thinking why all these exercise posts? Oh yeah the resolutions!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone that played football for 3 years in school, bear crawls and up downs is all you need, coaches would stop us when someone puked

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Need a "extreme beginners" edition. Half of those I'd fall over if I tried to do...

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Ok with push ups, start on ypur knees and push off of something like a chain. When thats easy, push off of the ground while on your knees

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Do keggels help u shoot further?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Plank gif not working, please fix.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Wanted to say this, but in doing my comment-hunting due diligence I see you deserve my +1 instead

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

this is a really good workout for balance and endurance, it will get you in good shape if you stick to it, remember to add to it for strengt

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anyone who would need to read this chart wouldn't be able to do a single leg deadlift.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I know all of these and I'm not in shape! Or am I? I guess I have a shape, but that doesn't help my new year resolution!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Firm those thigs!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Glute bridge is really good if you sit at a desk all day.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Or just do 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, 100 squats , 10 km a day...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You gotta eat right to get tight

8 years ago | Likes 301 Dislikes 3

eat what you want, and don't forget the blunt

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

My weight loss the past 7 weeks has been about 80% diet.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also, probably a bit less.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

As someone whose lost 50 pounds the past year while eating 75% fast food definitely this

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Love it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not true. I lifted/ ran in college and still ate take out everyday. Six packs are made in the kitchen tho.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yurp I ran track for 7 years and ate like shit the whole time

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends on the takeout. Big difference between a curry and a pizza.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pizza isn’t that bad for you. Thin crust is what I would eat for a snack between meals.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nothing is that bad for you in moderation.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have some of this dick while you’re at it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Deadlift squat bench pull-ups and running.

8 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 1

Haha this was literally my workout when I was in the best shape of my life

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pretty much my routine right now tbh

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly. Every one of these posts should be deleted for this. They’re the only real essentials.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

you need the core lifts in any routine

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Iirc, squats (when done correctly) engage the core more than most core-central exercises

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agree, as much (effectively) total body routines as you can. Curls are for girls

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The saying is curlers for the girls. As in aesthetics to look good. Compound movements should always be a priority but if you have a 1/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Little extra time. It's good to do accessories to bring up lagging areas. 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've been working these exercises, and add similar movements on lighter days as a circuit, and feel a distinct power and thoroughness to my

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Movements that was lacking with machine exercises. Deadlift and pullups are the best exercises imo! Everything I do now feels easier,

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And now that I've been fixing my diet, a pretty nice physique is forming. Luckily my wife isn't shallow but definitely enjoys it

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As an exercise professional. If i may, planks and boxers ab twist to work your core. Barbell rows to prevent rounded shoulders.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just curious, what do you mean by rounded shoulders?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Awesome, those are included in my routine, great to have some feedback. Thanks!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dailyburn 365 is online workout serried with new 30 minute workout everyday. I’ve done this there many many times. Would recommend

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Plank? You’re doing it wrong!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm a lazy fatass, but I am going to criticize the effectiveness and balance of this routine... on Imgur.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Doesn't include pull ups or any cardio so "in shape" will just mean you can do more reps in a month

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Squats, for one, are a huge strain your joints and ligaments and are oftem usually advised against.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

favorite and forget

8 years ago | Likes 428 Dislikes 1

Same here

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Already forgotten

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bahahah so true. It's like the gym on January 2nd

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

***do diligently twice a day, for two days

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Yeah, I already missed the first week. 2019 is my year

8 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

Start next week then :)

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah the New Year according to the Julian calendar isn't until January 15th

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

While these hit everything at a glance (I think?), you'll have much faster results with some isolated exercises in your workout.

Yeah compound is great, but it takes way longer to actually see progress, which new people really need to see for some motivation.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Good point. I used to start with an isolation exercise, then do a full-body circuit. Still follow typical chest day, back day, leg day, etc

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And follow the "major" exercise with the full body circuit

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not that they're bad exercises, but they're 90% legs and not very well rounded. Hardly "the only 12 exercise you need to get in shape."

8 years ago | Likes 206 Dislikes 7

Someone that’s overweight will burn calories trying to do spider lunges and planks.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

If I very to out together 12 exercises, I probably wouldn't waste a spot on having both regular and jump squats

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

They missed a really important one: running or some other aerobic exercise.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

Agreed. If I had to pick one single exercise to get fit, it would be running, but I think OP was just talking about strength training.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Dude, squat jumps will get your heart pumping!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Dead lift and plank workouts typically work most muscle groups

8 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 5

True, but I wouldn't say they're "the only 12 exercises you need to get in shape." DLs are great, but you need a lot more than that..

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That second period was an accident. I didn't mean anything by it.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but try doing deadlifts after 4 leg exercises...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

How many movements do you do that planks help you do

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Sitting and standing. Getting out of bed and back into bed. While walking or running. Planks are awesome.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

But yeah do we really need to do three kinds of lunges?

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 2

To be fair they are the largest muscle group so if you build them you burn more calories at rest

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

If you want nice legs maybe.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Lunges are fucking awesome, and they can hit your legs in different ways depending on how you do them.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They work your biggest muscles as well as your core, fuck yes you do.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Missing a pulling exercise, doing nothing but pushups will give you weird muscle imbalances and strain your back and neck.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I was thinking that my thighs are big enough already, thanks.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

These exercises make thighs big??

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Exercising in general makes your muscles big, and about half of these involve the thighs.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You know how hard it is to get muscles big? You’ll be lean and skinny well before your muscles start to get big. You need serious training

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

So these exercises will make you skinny first and if you keep doing them you will get big muscles?? I am looking for some exercises...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For that. So don’t resist working out because you’ll get bulky. It’s not how the body works.
