I want you to set your boobs free, too.

Biggest difference is the fact that sports are far more likely to get you absolutely nowhere in life.

So mentally tired, one has to take shortcuts when spelling the word "are."

I walked in on our high school's two star athletes having sex in the locker room. They never called me "emo kid" and "fag" again

Starting pitcher, capt of wrestling team, all AP classes junior year on. This isn't it, at all. +1 for the Superbad response.

I giggled at this, mostly because teachers would give exemptions to athletic students. No homework, no latework.

In my HS, athletes got out of taking tests and turning in assignments, but no other extra curricular were given that consideration.

Going through my senior year now as tight end in football. It is not hard, neither is AP. People whine.

As an engineering student in college, I tutored student athletes in math. Those kids get the royal treatment while useful majors make do.

I don't approve of the new use of the "pain is relative" meme.

Or you just did both and not complain about it

Also the benefits of being a student athlete far outweigh the negatives. It's hard, but super rewarding and incredible for mental health

Source: I was a student athlete in college and now I am not :/

I dunno, I've heard some pretty shitty stories about what high level college athletes go through. If they never hit pro they destroyed 1/2

Their bodies for what amounts to a pretty picture or a shiny thing to look at.

Yeah, a "shiny" bauble that will last ALOT longer than those that have not taken care of their bodies. I am slightly offended actually.

1 trophies are useless save to look at no matter how you slice it. 2 you can take care of yourself without overdoing it. 3 I don't care.

Alright I see this is just a difference of opinion that neither of us are going to get over, so I'm not gonna argue with you.

Anyone can choose to be fit without subjecting themselves to sports injuries; concussions, AC tears et al.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yup, just gotta be smart about it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

depends what you do. If you play american football or rugby or anything else that tears your body up then you pay a high price.
