Answering a request for bird pics, 6 from the 300+ I drew during my "year of birds." One a day, every day. Almost made it the whole year!

In 2010, I decided to draw a bird every day for the entire year. I made it to about Dec 15, at which point my holiday depression hit hard, and I said "fuck it, there's more than 300, project done."

I only framed a handful. Some I sold, others I donated for charity raffles. But I have plenty more stacked in a pretty box.

I scanned them, but since this was 9 years ago, those files live on an old computer. So I took a picture of these birds with my phone to answer a random request from a stranger.

Owls are so much fun to draw! Such personalities! Maybe when I have more energy, I will dig out the old scans or take new ones.

Other birds I love: vultures, esp Lammergiers, pootoos, beeeaters, egrets, herons, birds of paradise, anything with a crest, anything with a body part in the name, because then you know it's a wacky body part (spoonbill, crossbill, blue-footed booby, etc.)
