The other night our elderly deaf cat got out. Our neighbor, not realizing he was deaf, scared him and he ran away. We were quite worried about him. In jest I told our black cat, Clayton, to go find him. They both returned home about half an hour later. Our neighbor just confirmed that he saw Clayton leave the area and come back with our other cat. Clayton has so many wonderful qualities. This just confirms that he really is the best cat. Edit: Since so many of you asked- here’s my deaf cat and his story. https://imgur.com/gallery/AoEEIvQ

No question about it. Clayton IS the best cat!

We have a black cat I call Lassie, she’s always watching out for the others and alerting us of any problems

When our son was little and crying in protest of bedtime Clayton would start meowing and pace in front of his door. He was so worried!

Black cats are great.

Meanwhile, I need help keeping a mystery cat off of my property. But it keeps taking shits in my flower bed no matter what I do.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You keep planting flowers in mystery cat's shitting bed!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You need to shit or piss in your flower bed first to tell him/her that it's your territory.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like your style! It's been a while since I've watered the plants after a rousing night out. I miss bar nights, but my wallet thanks me.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

use chicken wire or similar to make a cage around the flower bed so the cat can't get into it for a few weeks. Once the cat's broken the

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

habit of using your bed you can take the cage down.

He goes through my entire backyard. I've tried fencing in my entire yard. But there's gaps where the gate meets the fence that I can't close

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My dog couldn't go through those gaps, but cats don't abide by the laws of physics.

Where abouts in England are you

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Heh. I’m in Western Washington state.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Damn lol, looks exactly like a part of England from that pic. To me at least

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It does! I spent a couple of months in England and it felt just like home. Right down to the rain and surly people.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The people are ok. I think it’s just the weather. Although it’s all I’m used to. England is my home ?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was in York. The people were lovely. I was just with a bunch of girls from California who were confused that people wouldn’t make

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/2 eye contact with strangers or just chat on the street. I found them very restful after having to live w/ Californians.

How sweet that he looks after your elderly cat.

He is the best. He also taught our son to walk. We call him the nursemaid cat.

Give him a bg cuddle.

6 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

I will when he’s off “work”. He’s currently helping my husband with a conference call. :)

Photos are needed of him working

Well, they say cats do understand us as well as dogs do but they just don’t care. I guess Clayton cares!

When I brought a stray cat in to be an indoor cat, (after months of socializing & inside & out) I tried putting a leash on him so he could1/
