Members of Congress who have been censured are required to give up any committee chairs they hold. Like a reprimand, a censure does not remove a member from their office so they retain their title, stature, and power to vote.

Take the justice system for example, in theory innocent people should not end up in jail. "Framing someone" would be considered "weaponization of the justice system"... Except that most of them are only elected because they gerrymandered their areas in order to win because US elections are fucking stupid. Rather than who wins more votes, its based on who wins more districts or states. Which opens things up for cheating like with gerrymandering which involves arranging districts so that most of the democrats are in just one district while republican voters are in several.
