go back to school so you will understand how fucking dumb this is. Nuclear power goes over the power lines too.... dumbass
what a novel idea and I always believed the energy was simply teleported #endsarcasm. Sorry, but you are missing the point of the meme idiot
Is this sarcasm @OP? You are aware of how Nuclear Stations release their power onto the grid aren't you?
Germany is building power lines to get the energy from the north see wind farms to Bavaria, what could go wrong
like what happened recently in South Australia
long transmission lines needed to bring power from where the large wind farms are built to large cities, and they are knocked off by storms

Sorry mate I have no idea about the story in Aus. I work on a station and we use long power lines to get our power out No idea what gen4 is
GadenKerensky
Renewables had nothing to do with the outages in South Australia. Broken lines did.
thats the point of the meme, however, the most you use REs the more lines you need, and longer ones
Since when?

He may be, but i am not. You have piqued my interest though!
We use normal long power lines. Although we don't have the extremes of weather that Australia has Just waiting to hear off @OP what Gen 4 is
The russians have the BN 800 and curently designing the BN 1200, china is also interested but not much info about them
Ah, i thought this was going to be something about more constant and steady power or something, but just the same as all other power then :)
there is also a pebble bed design in the US, but the Chinese will built a pebble bed first
in the west there are several designs which seek certification, IMSR and Thorcon are the most advanced, Moltex is following
Googling now thanks.
there is also the TAP reactor from Transatomic power, MIT stuff, FLIBE energy , also a number of SMRs from companies nuScale and Mpower,
