Her reason was because he scratched a door pretty badly. It was during a bad storm and he is horrified of thunderstorms, but she refuses to let him inside like I always did. She probably won't give me any clue to where he is now8 I will most likely never see him again. For the past six years, that dog has helped me go through the toughest times and the worst anxiety attacks. I probably wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for my dog and now he will never wait for me in front of the gate ever again.

Sounds like the cunt needs a slap when you get home

Be comforted that your dog is still taking care of someone who loves him. It sucks, but there are many dogs waiting for someone like you.

My parents put my dog to sleep without telling me because they thought it was time. I was 28 at the time. I didn't get to say goodbye. :(

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My mom did this when I was 11, came home from school and he was just gone. I never trusted her with or about anything after that.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I know of some awful nursing homes when the time comes. Sorry about your fur baby.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I hate your mum.

9 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 1

Might be time to publicly shame her

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

I'm sorry, and I hope I don't offend OP, but you're mother is a fucking cunt.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

It sounds to me that the dog is better off with whoever he ended up with than her.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That being said, still a thermite-though-the-engine-block-worthy offense. Shit's not cool, yo.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Inexcusable.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wow dude, what an outright cunt

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Did it ever occur to you that the reason you have anxiety attacks are related to have a mother so lacking in love that she sells child's dog

9 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 2

Too real man. Too real.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If my family did that, I would no longer have a family.

9 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

Bullshit. What do you think friends are? The family you pick for yourself

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Condolences friend. My mum gave my dog away while I was at a sleepover. I don't think I'll ever be able to forgive her.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Show her these online comments. She deserves at least to see how bad she fucked up.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I would rather give her the silent treatment for a while so she knows what it's like FOR YOUR FRIEND TO BE OUT OF YOUR LIFE

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I mean she probably doesn't care about you that much. Considering how she treated the dog and wouldn't tell you where she sold it to.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

She cares enough to cry to my brother when I don't talk to her

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Typical behavior for a narc mother; very manipulative people will cry to others when they can no longer control you.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just never talk to her ever again. Hurt her heart by taking away her child.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This may be an overreaction but I'd be taking hostages.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 4

I can only assume these downvotes are people saying "Nope, take hostages."

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

downvotes because thinking that it's an overreaction is stupid.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sounds like you need to cut your mother out of your life.

I really wish more people realized that you don't have to keep garbage people in your life just cause of a genetic link.

9 years ago | Likes 129 Dislikes 0

THANK YOU! I THINK MY MENTAL HEALTH IS A LITTLE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THIS RELATIVES EGO THANK YOU VERY MUCH

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree, but OP still sounds young, could still be dependent.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

True. I feel bad for those in that situation. I've helped some friends with this over the years. Had to take in my sister cause mom is crazy

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It took my wife a while to realize it. She now knows she is better off. Her relationship with her sister is improving again.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

I'm not against reconciliation but some don't deserve it. Case by case basis. Haven't seen my father in 26 years. Last time i did i shot him

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

That took a turn I didn't expect

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wow. You OK?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Im cool. He was beating my mother and little sister to death so I have no regrets other that I should have done it sooner. No one blamed me

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This was plain cruel and heartless. Never go back to her again. Mother or not, this can not be excused.

And you're a cunt.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hey buddy, go fuck yourself.

9 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 4

If I had somewhere else to go, I would.

9 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 4

I understand there are several organisiations that might be helpful in your case. Cruelty is as hurting and painful as getting beaten up.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would rather live on the streets than to give up my pup. Where are you from op?

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Romania, currently a student in London. I would gladly stay in London if breathing wasn't so expensive

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Head slightly further away but within commutable distance. Inner London is stupid expensive so ppl tend to work in London but live elsewhere

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Imi pare rau, OP :(

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Multumesc :/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pay backs a bitch when she is really old.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Yeah too bad my brother is backing her up in everything

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

They sound toxic and should be cut out of your life imo.. had to deal with similar mother. Check out r/raisedbynarcissists

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah, yes, you might want to look into that more deeply. The trouble with emotional abuse is that it is so subtle and you often feel as if /1

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

as if you had no right to be upset at your parents actions. That you're exaggerating, or just too sensitive. There's often a "golden child"/2

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

and a "scapegoat"... anyway, read for yourself about narcissism and toxic mothers etc. It's complicated, but maybe some things become /3

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

more clear for you then. Anxiety, depression, etc. And it's hard to pin down when it's "only" emotionla abuse.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I know my brother is her favourite. My dad loved me like nothing else but he passed away when I was little so I'm just third wheeling now...

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Kill mother. Find dog. Let dog shit on mothers grave.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Time to sell your mother, teach her a lesson

9 years ago | Likes 1165 Dislikes 2

Best I can do is tree fiddy. She might be a succubus.

9 years ago | Likes 91 Dislikes 2

Right, blame the mother for not taking care of her pet.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

Are you implying it was @OP fault

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

my first reaction was along those lines

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

parents must be reminded that we are the one choosing their old age homes

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Beat me to it! +1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sell her in parts.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Worth more that way.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And easier to transport

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think Saudi Arabia might be buying

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I second that.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Oh my God, that's so sad. Why not make a Facebook post and get it out in your home area?

9 years ago | Likes 466 Dislikes 4

If they know the story, maybe they'll be compassionate and keep him for you till you get home.

9 years ago | Likes 163 Dislikes 0

I did, but at the end of the day, I am still mostly out of the country and can't bring him with me...

9 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 1

At least you'll know where he is and that he's safe.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

A good new family will let you visit him. You tell your mother that was a frac'n up awful move -- signed ME

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

I'm only in my first year of uni so it will be long until I will be home for goos

9 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 1

Where do you live? People foster dogs for deployed military, maybe someone would be willing to do that for you.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

Romania. I will try to reach out to someone

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

What state was your dog in? I'm so sorry for your loss.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is this where you live or where you study? If it's where you live,PM me. We'll find a way

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Could you get another, kinder family member/friend to take him in?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Is your dog microchipped? You can report it to the shelters or shelter police and at least that way if anything shows up it helps

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My condolences on your mothers sudden death.

9 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 1

Suicide by two GSWs, how tragic.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fuck I don't even have a gun but I'll rent a nice solid pick-up for the occasion no problem.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have patience, OP. And remember this when it comes time to pick a nursing home.

9 years ago | Likes 912 Dislikes 3

"Fido sends his regards" OP says as he stabs his mother in the heart on his wedding day.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nursing home? You mean catapult.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Damn. Playing the long game. I can't leave something unsettled that long. Take care of it now, or get over it.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

What's that saying? Do not anger a man with patience?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or use Cholesterol. It makes the death look natural

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Formaldehyde into the brain is also untraceable if there is no investigation and an open casket. (Do you say coffin or casket?)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But how do you get it there?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Long needle through the neck. Spinal fluid also works.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Needle marks leave evidence.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How would Cholesterol work?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Feed them high cholesterol diets until stroke or heart attack. May take a while though :)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Haha good one

9 years ago | Likes 209 Dislikes 3

Cut ties with her

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Why not just kill her in her sleep i mean what

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

No offense, but your mum sounds incredibly narcissistic.

9 years ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 1

She's a downright twat

9 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

You should probably poison her instead tbh.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I like your style.

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

SHE WOULDN'T LET HIM IN DURING A THUBDERSTORM??? I think I just angry cried a little

9 years ago | Likes 234 Dislikes 0

I know, he gets so scared he even got sick once during a period of really frequent thunderstorms. He just needed to feel safe....

9 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 0

:(

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is there something wrong with her? Not being funny, here. Normal people don't leave pets out in a storm or give away a long time pet.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

It sounds like rehoming him may have been for the best. OP when youre independent, get all the dogs you can handle.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

When i was 10, my mom did the same w/my dog & used to put my small pets in a drafty basement when she was sick of them.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you're not in control of their safekeeping (like allowing them indoors in bad weather) wait until you are.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Why did you let her watch him?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She never did anything like this before. I trusted her

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm... PRETTY sure you can go to the police for that...

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Not in good old Romania...

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

FWIW, outdated animal laws may work in your favour. Animals = property under the law, meaning your mother unlawfully sold your property.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm betting it's not the first time she broke your trust. Tell her "That was the last time you break my trust in you" and them move.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

I've broken her trust too, like every other teenager, so I can't really use that against her.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

OP, it's not the same. A parent has power over a child & owes a duty of care. A child/teen has no power, and is learning independence.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Children always break their parents' trust. That's what children do. Parents are supposed to be there, no matter what. Don't blame yourself.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Did you sell away the *1 thing* that was truly keeping her life together? Yr not as bad. And you shd get a professional to tell you that.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Plus teenagers do that. It's a stupid kid thing to do. Kind of allowed. She's an adult. She should know better

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I'm sorry to hear that @op :( I cannot imagine the pain you feel right now. Let's just hope he is with a person who lets him in anytime

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Hopefully. As far as i know, the owner of a doggy hotel is finding an owner for him so hopefully he finds a good one...

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

She "sold" him to a doggy hotel owner? Do doggy hotel owners buy unwanted dogs? Kinda sounds a bit like bullshit.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

When some cunt wants to get rid of a dog immediately and has no patience to find a good home themselves (2)

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

But I know that the guy loves dogs and I hope to get into contact with him so maybe I have some kind of decision on the topic

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

(3)

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No, she gave him to the owner who will give her the money when he finds an owner. In my country, these people tend to be the middle man (1)

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You could purchase your own dog back, if you know which person has him. Would leave a paper trail, too, in case police get involved.
