This is Puddle
We adopted her is 2010.
Dreaming of flying
We quickly realised that she loved her bed and always found interesting positions to sleep in.
And manages to look adorable in any sleeping position.
I feel like she's laughing at me....
We took her to the vet after spotting a small reddish knob on her ear
Upon examination, she tried to eat the vet and was promptly turned into Lady Bane. You can see the spot on the left ear. It was cancer and we were told that the ears had to go.
Surgery was done a few days later
She came home like this... Still drugged and confused but also in a lot of pain. I felt like a terrible parent and thought that I should have done more to prevent this but we always sunscreened her and tried to let her out when the sun was setting because of the risk of white cats developing cancer.
The healing began
A week after surgery and the dried blood was almost gone and the swelling was abating. She started cleaning herself which was awkward to watch. I was paranoid that she would rip out her stitches but she didn't.
She started getting really annoyed with me for taking photos
This is her standard look. With ears she simply looked annoyed but I find her to look eerily human in this photo.
She loves him (my husband) more than she loves me
She loves being carried around and never wiggles out of your grip.
They sleep like this
Even if he isn't sleeping, he will lay like this and not disturb her if she is having a nap.
Got her this blinged out collar
She goes through collars at a rate of knots but this was too cute to not buy. She is pretty much a vampire now, only being let out at night or when it is raining.
She is cancer-free and much happier since the surgery.
This is Mac, her overweight brother
We adopted him from a shelter the day before her surgery. It was not a good week for her! Ears gone and a new housemate. He was overweight when we got him so we're trying to get his weight down to normal. He currently weighs 7.2 kgs.
He's not the sharpest batarang in the utility belt
He took it upon himself to protect her from all the other cats in the neighbourhood as her lack of ears was often misinterpreted as an aggressive stance.
Thanks for reading!

Poor baby. My cat was the same, loved to be carried around and slept with her face next to mine. +1 for being awesome pet owners / rescuers.

+1 for saving and loving your cat. I'm glad she's ok, OP.

Can't go wrong with happy-sad cat story + gross photos of medical stuff, it's pretty much the ingredients of imgur's catnip.

She's super adorable. Some of my friends think that she looks quite regal without the ears!

Errr... mat.. not scale, whatever that is lol.
TropicalMary
haha It's actually a scratching board. Just a wooden frame with cardboard egg crating inside. Cheap, easy to replace and they love it!

So many fluffies! He's adorable... I have to restrain myself from getting more pets.

My house is the result of two cat people getting married... it's like a retarded pride.

Pets are happiness in fur onsies! I have a pet rat as well, she is great. Puddle hates that she can't eat the rat.
