There is also Dussack, Messer, and Sword And Buckler, as well as other varieties of rapier/sidesword combat that allow for offhand daggers.

Dussack is german cutlass, a buckler is a small shield, and a messer is a "big knife" (effective a falchion by different construction)

Yeah, I think the main differences would be some of the stances and the way blocking is done. Blocking with a longsword is different than
