@OP Buy yourself an appropriately sized spoke wrench, a set of allen wrenches, patch kit, and a manual pump with a pressure gauge.

Id also recommended one of those things that can check the tension of the spokes for you and the proper grease +oil

Maintenance ensures performance. True up your rims as often as they need it, inspect for damage and wear. Oil your chain, and store it well.
