I need imgur advice.

I have an item that is 100% legal in my state. 100% legal according the US Federal government, but illegal in the state of my secret santa recipient. I do not want to give away the gift I want to send, but it is something most guys would want at some point in life. He just so happens to live in one of the 8 states that say you can't have it. So do I send this super cool item that he could buy on amazon even though his state government says "Don't buy that"? At that point he could keep it or throw it away.
