This brings up a good point, it we just made planes slightly wider we could do have individual arm rests for everyone

Wider fuselage would only lead to one additional seat per row. The airlines will tell you there is a solution already: Business or First Class.

I got seated next to about a 400-pounder who wanted to raise the armrest out of the way so that her stomach could rest on my lap. Nope.

Hold their hands firmly yet seductively.

4 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yes, the Airlines would’ve had to find an extra 3 inches to put in armrests for everyone. They couldn’t do that while stuff in as many seats as possible into the airplane.

Happened to me on a flight. A Florida woman kept intentionally hitting me. Even started up again halfway through the flight while I was dead asleep.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

putting one are rest for two people is just one of many reasons why airline decision makers need to all be tortured to death on live television

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is that one of those TikTok sets you can rent

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

yes, and "real" things are "spontaneously" filmed in there to get likes.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What does a like go for these days?

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Window seat gets the window, isle seat gets the leg room, middle seat gets the arm wrests

Shitty Boeing seats

??? Is there an airline that isn't exactly like this ???

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*shitty airline seats

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

rest your arm on their shoulder

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's not us vs us, it's us vs them. Demand larger armrests, comrades!

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This shows Airline Manufacturers do this on purpose and they're cruel.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Very funny

So as a girl: rule of reclamation, place both of your elbows on the armrest in the small notch behind the hogs. At every opportunity accidentally elbow in the ribs. It usually causes the offender to release in a protective mode.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So, as a girl, take advantage of the fact that most people won't hit you by being physically abusive until you get your way? As a human, go fuck yourself.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So as a girl I’m supposed to accept that at some point their groppy hands or arms are going to “accidentally” bump into my breasts?

That's way more space than any of them would actually get on a flight.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They have a set and extras for this bit. Impressive.

There are agencies for this. Most "influencers" use these or the luxury versions to fake their posh lifestyle. You can even rent out super-luxury hotel rooms for shootings this way. The agency pools a couple of influencers together, rent the room for two hours and each one has 10 or 15 minutes to make their Instagram photo.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I appreciate this is at least obviously a skit. Lot more respectable than these losers out here staging “viral” moments “real airplanes” for social media attention. Huge losers

There are several studios that have these partial cabins for hire to make fims and videos.

For influencers

You're thinking of the luxury jet for hire. Since this is regular economy class, it's probably mostly used by actual film and tv productions.

Why can airlines not make individual rests?

Their neck things are on backwards

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

What?

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

They are meant to hold your chin up so you can rest/sleep without getting a crick in your neck. But people instinctively wrap them around the back instead.

4 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

what I can find they're designed to support the jaw when you nod off left or right so you don't get a crick in your neck, so they have it on right.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Really? I had no idea. I don't usually have one though.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not kidding, look it up. People wear them backwards all the time

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

every thing I can find says they have it on right?

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which is what I used to think (and do), but then I read online that it is to hold your head up so that it doesn't flop forward, so the chin rest part is not the empty cleft but is instead the opposite side. I would say though that 90 percent of people wear it this way, which actually flexes your head more, not less. Try it next time, it makes a world of difference

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I can't find that, from guides, design sites, and various producers they have it on right and you sleep tilted left or right with your jaw supported. You have where you read otherwise?

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have a ton of YouTube videos and stuff when I search. Here's one: https://thepointsguy.com/airline/correct-way-to-wear-neck-pillow/

Center seat gets both armrests, it's one of the basic laws of flight.

And FUCK AIRLINES for making it acceptable to make 2 narrow armrests for 4 arms "ok" "normal"

Next up: swipe your credit card to unlock the armrest and be able to put it down

Anything to cram more flesh into less space. if they were let to decide their own, ya'all would be cordwood stacked in the cargo bay and given oxygen masks, and unloaded in a quick dump-on-runway method.

They give us the choice: You can have sufficient room for an adult human being or you can have a flight ticket that is so cheap that neither science nor religion can explain it.

Don't pretend you aren't buying the cheapest ticket available every single time.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

This! The Airlines don't decide, the customers do.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I mean... I don't.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm paying more (even accounting for inflation) than I was 20 years ago, with less leg room, fewer amenities, and more additional charges. Remember business class? It doesn't exist any more. You can pay out the nose for first class, or you can be cattle, there's no in-between.

We Live in A Society! These are the rules!

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

on my recent flights there was always someone huge in the centre. like why the fuck are you taking that seat when your shoulders are eight miles wide.

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Sometimes the airline forces it, I have wide shoulders and of the last 6 business trip flights I took, on 3 of them they crammed me in the back of the plane where the wall curves in next to another guy with wide shoulders.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How do they force it? You select your seat. They can't change it.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

apparently they can, because they have

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is this an American thing that I cannot understand because I have too much freedom?

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Likely because they booked the flight late and it was the only option available. Im a big dude, but I try to book 6 months out and choose window or aisle depending on length of the flight. Be mad at the airline who decided people should be packed in like sardines, not the guy who is just trying to get somewhere. Planes are not built with bigger people in mind. Im 6'3" 300 lbs shit sucks.

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I usually try for a window seat so I can turn my body and lean back against the wall. Aisle seat just get me hit by every cart.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why do you assume they gas any way on it... Are you a small person who volunteers to take a center seat so the outside seat is free for them?

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You do have a say. Literally the day before half the plane has unbooked seats. You just gotta pay the 20 to select intelligently. And no, I am not small, which is why I don't book middle seats.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What if you booked late? Not everyone can pick or no one would sit middle.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can still pick you seat. When I check in a few hours before my flight leaves I can still switch seats.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Small person here: when I sit in the center, I still don’t get the armrests

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not the point I am making. The complaint is that the big person chose the middle seat. That may not be the case, someone has to sit there.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jim Jeffries: Window seat gets the view and an armrest, aisle seat gets a little bit more leg room and an armrest. Center seat gets both armrests.
