Look. I'm not in the habit of begging and I've been lurking for a while. I lost my job a few months ago and growing desperate. If anyone can help me get a job either remote or near Wilson, NC I'll take almost anything I can get. I have years of experience in retail and a year of experience in accounting (with a MS degree). Hopefully somebody can help me get out of this hole and thank you for reading.

Aw thanks! I will emphasize to @op that pest control is great, especially with technical workers like yourself. It is usually a job that is mostly hired in the fall & spring times as well, so keep that in mind!

Idk your location, obviously, but my personal job is beyond easy and pays fantastic. If there is an HBCU (historical black college university) within your area, look up how to be an EFNEP Educator in the Extension Department. In my state, it's 40k minimum, you're helping your local community learn how to eat healthier, you get 40hr hourly pay regardless, you get your weekends, and yet I work MAYBE 10 hours.

USPS is desperate nationwide for carriers. You can also be an ARC (not to be confused with RCA) who deliver packages on more "set your own hours" schedules if you want less overtime work.

Easy as hell. Steep learning curve when you first start casing, but once you learn your route you can just throw mail, bundle, and go without a thought.

The benefits package is where it's at. Pretty much can't get fired even if you try outside of breaking the law, injuries get you pensioned or light work. We had someone at my old office who had a mild brain injury from driving up a drive way that was too narrow and hitting a pole that fell onto the cab. They haven't removed her from the rolls for her route and makes full salary plus medical still even though she doesn't work.

Full time you get 40 hours a week. Part time is another story.
