I first met Ratchet at the Humane society. He immediately jumped on my shoulders, meowed softly, and nibbled my ear a bit. I knew he was special and adopted him without hesitation.
He always knew when I was down, and always tried to comfort me.
He was also extremely cuddly and loved everyone he met.
I can't remember why, but I think he was really pissed in this photo. I think I kept waking up with my overwatch shenanigans
This was to show a friend of mine how big he was. He was HUGE
One of my fave pics of him. My room isn't this messy anymore.
Idk why he slept like this that night. He never got up either.
Today, I took him in for a visit with the vet after he hadn't been eating and had low energy. I found out he had a condition that was causing his immune system to destroy his blood cells. He deteriorated within a few hours. The costs to treat him were astronomical and had little to no guarantee they would help him and if they did they would only help for a few short days at most and would only prolong his suffering. Hold your pets and your loved ones tight because I'll never be able to do so again. My heart is broken. I love you Ratchet. Rest in peace.

I'm so sorry for you loss, @OP. Nothing can replace that bond or years of friendship. Thank you for giving Ratchet the best home possible.

Sorry for your loss. Been there more times than I’d like to recall. You helped one kitteh be happy for a while – there are more to help.
