Look how jacked he is. Dude's working for his life while your lazy ass hamster gets fat in his cage

My hamster would not survive long in the wild! He is fat and has no fear of large animals that would like to eat him.

how many hours does this one spend at the gym?

"I'm Mary Poppins, y'all!"

I wonder where he stashes his little metal wheel and pile of saw dust.

And the winner for obscure reference of the day is....

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are what?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Wild hamsters. It says so right there.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That hamster looks fucking tough as shit. Is it one of those double muscled badass melee hamsters?

You might be looking at the cheek with food in it. The pouch extends back passed the shoulder area. Makes the little guy look ripped.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That toe spread on it’s back foot. Tee hee.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They actually are strangely aggressive...

And the war paint (berry juice) makes it look even more badass.

When my hamster stuffs his face with food he looks jacked but he’s really just a greedy chubster who’s scared of his own sneezes

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Chubster...excellent word, I shall use this in my life.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s a War Hamster, his name is Boo.

Thank you for the correction, I don’t remember things as well as I used to.

We've got some where I live (Alsace, east of France).

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Are they considered a pest?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not at all. They're an endangered species here and are protected.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wait, the guide told me Alsace was in France. For the moment, anyway. Do you eat sausages or baguettes?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Both

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I made as visit to your lovely area last summer. That was the tour guide's joke: Her grandparents ate sausages but her parents baguettes.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yep, there's a little mix of traditions here. And as you said, it's lovely.

Where does such a creature live in this world?

Hamsterland

You can get wild hamsters in Romania and Bulgaria, I believe. Breed is called Romanian Hamster. They are in the same genus as pet hamsters.

That one is a European Hamster (wild and not great pets): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_hamster

Common domesticated ones are Syrian, as others said. There are also Russian Dwarf, and Chinese hamsters (the latter are quite thin)

European hamsters have the black belly. Syrian typically have white bellies

No, I'm suggesting they have fluffy bellies of varying colours.
