The problem is, it's always a joke, you just have to explain it as such to people who don't have your same sense of humor.

Pork glands smell and taste bad, btw

It would’ve never occurred to me that they didn’t.

No.
YourLatinLover
I rank that chorizo very low, too squishy, I never know what to make with it
waudey912
Like nduja squishy?
OffendedSkeleton
Slice it and fry the slices
YourLatinLover
This brand doesn’t hold its shape very well, you can probably stick a straw in the packaging and slurp it up, that’s how wet it is
YourClothesAreRed
It's too squishy to slice, you could shape it with your hands though.
PantlessThunderGoose42
It has slightly less viscosity than toothpaste
riddmkidd
Scramble eggs with it. About an inch of chorizo per egg. Also country potatoes mix really well with it.
riddmkidd
Chorizo melts when it cooks so you use that instead of oil. Chorizo first until it cooks down then add eggs or potatoes or both.
TheyMeanToWinWimbledon
Local diner mixes it with eggs and calls it a chorizo scramble and it's freakin' good.
musicbox081
That's the only brand of chorizo I use. Fried cubed potatoes + onions + eggs + chorizo - scramble it up!
YourLatinLover
Btw I know how to cook with chorizo, it’s this particular brand that sucks imo
YourLatinLover
too squishy and wet, I’d have to drain all the juices before I toss it in eggs, rather get the dry stuff hanging with the butcher than this
PantlessThunderGoose42
Mix chorizo, eggs, spinach, cheese and Bisquick put in a cast iron skillet and bake in the oven. Makes a nice breakfast casserole.
Skr121
Give me the amounts please. I'll make this weekend
PantlessThunderGoose42
I’m a “until it looks right” cook, so these measurements may be a little off. I use a cast iron skillet & go from stove top to oven. /2
PantlessThunderGoose42
/2 measurements -ish... Brown 1 tube of chorizo in a cast iron skillet. Add 4 eggs, beaten, 1.5 -2 cups of bisquick, 1 - 2 cups fresh /3
PantlessThunderGoose42
/3 spinach and 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese. Mix until combined. Cover with foil and bake at 425° until it sets up. Use a wooden /4
CapeCodCaity
Bread. I make an amazing linguica bread. Chorizo is similar.
annonymouse211
Sauces. Like for exceptional gravy to go on biscuits. Or pasta sauce but better.
spittleteets
#30 same reason roses are red and violets are blue. Purple wasn't a word until 1856
Ninjainslippers
Roses are red and violets are purple / sugar is sweet and so's maple surple
victell
Tyrian purple goes way back.
spittleteets
Yeaaah, I was sleep deprived. 900s ad idk wtf I was looking up.
SpicyRebar
Historically it was also used to make reddish dyes
nonCanadianGoose
Chorizo is traditionally made with the salivary glands. It will have it unless stated otherwise. They’re richer but high in cholesterol
Mavgurian
Wondering how hard I had to vomit to get that Chorizo out I ate years ago ...
titaniumsnail
Isn't that completely dependent on where it is made? There are so many local varieties.
titaniumsnail
Not just Spain: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chorizo
nonCanadianGoose
Well, the Latin American varieties. Spanish (Catalan or Castille] are hand cut and dried more similar to a salami
nonCanadianGoose
The latter significantly less likely to have glands due to spoilage. The Latin American(like in the picture) almost always have glands
titaniumsnail
Yeah, I'm only familiar with the Spanish version and it is mostly meat(muscle) and fat + spices. So many versions just in Spain too.
