Left a bottle of strange liquid; Got a job interview.

I've been looking for a career change to something I can be passionate about. I think I've gotten pretty good at making mead (honey wine for those unfamiliar) so I left a bottle with a note and my resume at a local meadery that recently opened. They were closed at the time so I literally left it in a bag on their doorstep. Ended the not with "P.S. If you are wary of drinking from strange bottles left by strangers, invite me for an interview and I will drink first."
Got a call yesterday. They haven't tried the mead yet, but they were impressed by my initiative and I'm going in for an interview this evening.

UPDATE: I've just gotten back from a nearly 2.5 hour long interview. We talked and sampled a fair bit of mead, both theirs and mine. I brought an additional 5 bottles of different flavors I'd made. Things went pretty well.
The company is Viking Alchemist Meadery, located in Marietta, GA. http://vikingalchemist.com/They are a small company of 6 people and only officially opened a few months ago.

Unfortunately, they do not have a job for me at this time. That's okay and I knew that was most likely the case. There was never a job listing posted. I made an unsolicited attempt to get my foot in the door.

That being said, I'm going to still get in and help out where I can. I can consider it a bit of an apprenticeship. I'm interested in learning how things are done professionally as my wife and I may someday like to open our own meadery. The folks at Viking Alchemist liked some of my meads so much they're interested in working with me to possibly produce and sell my own recipes.

Ultimately, they're a great group with a lot of potential to grow. If I play things right, I'll hopefully be first in line when they're ready to hire, or I'll learn enough to start my own meadery someday.
