And I'm not talking about the friend zone here. I'm talking about the girl who EXPECTS a guy to stay single while she does what (who) she wants.

For the curious, this isn't about me (I'm an old married guy 22 years in). It's about my nephew and the girl he's "dating." Although, I did experience a similar situation in my own pre-historic dating days.

Yeah fuck that.

What the fuck is going on in the world.

Had one of these. Family posted congrats on my FB. She thought I was moving away. Decided to finally date me. Her heart wasn't in it.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Treated me like crap. I dumped her a month in. If they won't date you on fair terms, don't bother with them.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I know a married couple, she told him she needed her own place, is dating other men, but still expects him to be at her beck and call...

Jesus that sounds awful....

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If he doesn't need your advice, then it's just a lesson he's got to learn.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

depends on his age and mental state, these things can turn in real bad shit if either of the two isn't exactly "100% sane"(Evilness aside)

PSA: if ya'll are friends with benefits, remember that you're friends first, and the benefits come on top. If they want commitment from >

Someone and they find it in a lasting relationship. Just be fucking happy for them and don't try to be a dickhole cause you miss attention

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

As a woman, I've known chicks that do this. Trust me fellas, you're worth much more than a back up or security blanket. She's not changing.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's hard... When you've never felt that way about someone before, I'm starting to realize today this is my situation. It fucking hurts.

I get my dating advice from rap music: thug em, love em, leave em. Jk, been with the same woman since 2002.

I hope everyone appreciates how funny this is.

Once went with a girl like this. She dumped me, then got mad when she saw me with someone else. 'That was QUICK!' "You dumped me quick.."

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Practically EVERY young relationship is ended by someone with a different lover lined up. So nakedly absurd to be sore the dumpee mones on.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And you all think this only happens to guys? Believe me, low self-esteem and idiocy is an equal opportunity provider. It just sucks.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh.. that girl. Yeah I dated that girl. Broke it off when this became clear and promptly found my wife. Do't stay in this relationship.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Front Page. This is necessary.

“Weird” Al had a song about this: “Good Enough for Now”. https://youtu.be/9LsjUXMZzF8

The only reason to stick in a situation like that is to watch her realize that her safety net is actually an empty pit. Bye Felicia!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This works both ways. Guys do it too.

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

Outrageously so.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

lol i was about to say, this sounds like a very unisex issue.

Joey Tribianni: "Maybe YOU need sex. I had sex a couple of days ago!" *flexes arms macho-ly*

Off topic comment: Congrats on ur lasting marriage - I want something like that one day.

8 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 1

You just have to give up on sex.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 10

Dude, over this many years you have your great patches & your dry patches, but I'm on three nights in a row right now. Best in a LONG time!

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

10 years married here and settled in for the long run. Never thought I'd like someone enough to be with this long.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You could if you track down OP and impersonate him.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I've had 3 years or marital bliss. Been married 34 years.

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

First 3 or last 3?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Middle 3

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Whenever I meet a girl and then shortly find out she has one of those guys, I always feel so much pity, then run away

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You! Yes, you! You're nobody's plan B.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I’ve had a three different girls in the last year do that. Let’s see... we’re going on dates, we’re having sex, we’re doing romantic 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

activities, but no, of course we’re not dating. That would be SILLY! :-p

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

3 in a row? seems odd, how did you meet all 3 of them?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As someone who’s been in this situation; you need to call her up, give her a piece of your mind, then tell her to get lost.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Labels not important. Ask. Can I sleep with other people? Are they going to sleep with other people? Both Yes or Both No. No mix and match.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Related advise. Avoid language like ‘not looking for a relationship rn’ when rejecting. Used to do this I’m an attempt to save feelings./1

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Gave wrong impression and was interpreted as leading on. /2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

for me, being the one asking, i value the situation and ask if there's a chance in the future she would give me a date chance, an answer to

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that is kinda impossible to misunderstand as long as you do the right question(e.g."if you're still single in a year, mind another chance?")

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had this with a friend except it ws mutual. We didnt want to date eaxh other but wed both get pissy when the other dated

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

considering it's "was" i assume neither of you could stand it anymore and chose to go different routes?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I met someone and moved away and he moved, got a great job and met someone. We were holding each other back

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So who won?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We both did but only by quitting

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My ex tried that for a while.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In Bird Person culture, this is regarded as a "dick move".

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

It sure is one of the harder life lessons.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I relate to this way to much rn

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Girl I used to work with had 3 guys in exactly this situation... It was staggering to hear her justifying it

8 years ago | Likes 107 Dislikes 0

That's when you're supposed to throw a stapler at her face.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Was she expecting it tho? I feel like there’s a difference between her asking them to wait and them deciding to w/o being asked

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Oh she would go mental if they talked to other women.. Was seriously fucked up

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Care to tell how she justified it?

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She sort of did a rota of who she was "seeing" and expected the guys she wasn't "seeing" to stay single because she "loved" all of them

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

Also, she had a kid by one of them and was regularly getting gifts an money from all of them, the amount of drama was ridiculous.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Oh and another kid by another guy who she was back and forth with too, but he had a girlfriend, so I didn't really count him in the 3

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’m in this exact situation, are you my uncle?

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

hey, is me. yur uncle.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yes. Yes, I am. Dump that bimbo and find a girl for whom YOU are her first choice. Maybe not easy to find, but will be worth it.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Okay, speaking as a woman— did she explicitly say she expects you to be single? Or is this another case of wrong assumptions?

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

It's about my nephew. His "girlfriend" dates whoever she wants and flips the hell out on him if he even flirts with other girls. (1)

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

A little bit psycho, if you ask me. (2)

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

(Not to OP just any guy who finds himself in this strange situation)

Sounds young and dramatic if you ask me.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

While not the exact situation, my ex wanted me to only be with her while she was with whomever she wanted. I asked and she specified it.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So she wanted an open relationship?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep... but only so long as she was the only one in the "open" part of the relationship.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How long did you stay with her after that?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A little bit psycho, if you ask me.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A lotta bit psycho. She was also manipulative and abusive (used threats of suicide and self-harm to motivate me). Helluva first relationship

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

how did you get out of that(if that happened without legal causes o r anybody getting very badly hurt)
