Fucked up!

Virginia. You. Are. Not. Obligated. To. Listen. Put the map in play. Who will STOP YOU.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

But the red states where the legislatures came up with new maps? That's okay, because Republicans. The SCOTUS is a fucking disgrace.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"Gerrymandering is only cool when Republicans do it."

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The fascist and illegally nominated scotus must be dismantled and reconstituted with a completely democratic court

3 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Every FedSoc judge needs to be RICO'd for bribery, deprivation of rights under the color of law, conspiracy against rights, and conspiracy to defraud the United States.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just do it anyway. What are they gonna do about it? Fuck 'em.

3 months ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 1

Well if it was a red state they would just go "nothing we can do about it, use the results" but its a blue state so they will instead say that every person elected under those maps are invalid and somehow figure out how it means all those seats go to Republicans or something somehow.

3 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Fine, let them. Dems have to start calling some bluffs/forcing hands. Otherwise, any peaceful chance at change is well and truly gone.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So, that would mean all the red states' congressional maps are illegal too, right? Because that's the precedent.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thanks Bernie Bros for going to sleep during the 2016 election because you didn't get your way

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

Bernie primary voters voted for Hillary at a higher rate than Hillary primary voters voted for Obama in '08.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

nah they went to war with the DNC. They either didn't vote at all or they cast a FU to the DNC in a vote for Trump. No one saw it coming, which is why the polls were "wrong"

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

What I wrote above isn't my opinion. About 12% of Sanders voters voted for Trump. ~5% voted for 3rd party candidates. 25% of Hillary primary voters voted for McCain. (It's possible the studies showing these numbers are wrong, but it's our best current understanding on the electoral swings in recent elections) While that Sanders swing is bigger than Clinton's margin of defeat in key states, primary voter defections are a known phenomenon so if no one saw it coming everyone is dumb.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They are rigging the midterms in plain sight. I f***ing hate them.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Oh look, the thing people were worried would happen, happened, even after all the armchair lawyers insisted it couldn’t and we were worrying too much.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

SAY IT WITH ME: IF YOU DO NOT LISTEN TO OUR BALLOTS THEN HEAR OUR BULLETS.

American political news in a nutshell: "The pedo nazis made a law that voting for not them is illegal and you will be shot for trying. Democrats are convinced America will vote out the pedo nazis because of the new democrat platform of doong nothing about anything.

3 months ago | Likes 90 Dislikes 5

Its all just political theatre orchestrated by three billionaires in a trench coat at this point.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Gas is expensive when it's time to burn things... probably not a coincidence

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Democrat governor, you say?

Onve again, I would like to point out to all the people that said "trump and Hillary are the same" we would not have this issue if Hillary Clinton was elected in 2016

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Death knell until after this election. Then they can implement them again.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Supreme Court and several state Supreme Courts have delegitimized themselves through their clearly partisan and capricious rulings.

It's time for various state governors to tell them to fuck off

Yes this would be a constitutional crisis.

Hardly the first.

3 months ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

We've been in a constitutional crisis for decades now.

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Ignore them and use the map anyway. Grow some balls, Democrats, for fuck's sake...

3 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

The death knell was the Democrats immediately annoucing their intention to roll over and die after the state Supreme Court made its partisan ruling. Democrats' refusal to ever fight fascists on their own terms is complicity, full stop.

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Democrats have an opportunity here to actually stand up for themselves and defy the courts. Republicans do this all the time and get away it. Time to play hard ball or go home.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So SCOTUS says it is ok for literally every red state but not a blue one. Ok.

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Just ignore the supreme court.

3 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Just fucking ignore them

They are not following the clear wording of the law. They are absolutely illegitimate.
They are nakedly corrupt.

Fuck the SCROTUS. They have made their ruling, now let them enforce it.

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Why should we have to listen to them? They're not following the rules, they've shown that their interests lie more with bigots and corporations, so... get rid of them.

3 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Do it anyways.

The ruling Republicans are defying court rulings left and right. Precedent is set.

3 months ago | Likes 239 Dislikes 4

Or vote again. This time: should the State defy this paper ruling and implement the map that was voted the last time?

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

To paraphrase a genocidal maniac "the court has made it's ruling, now let it enforce it."

3 months ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

President Andrew Jackson. That's why I don't carry twenty-dollar-bills any longer than absolutely necessary.

3 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

These are indeed genocidal maniac times

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They will do nothing because they are not a real opposition party

3 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 3

They ask you to vote and then do nothing. Then they ask you to vote again. The elected democrats cannot fail they can only be failed by you - the voter who didn't vote hard enough. And when you do *shrugs*

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Use the map anyway and tell the Republicans to eat shit.

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Why is the federal government weighing in on a state voting thing anyway?

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

They asked them to. Read the news.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Because it's authoritarian and corrupt

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The state supreme court tossed the results for some bullshit technicality. The appeal went federal as a last ditch effort

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Good to know, thanks!

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It’s some BS. We voted. We made a collective decision as a state. They’re taking that away for no other reason than they know they can’t win unless they cheat.

3 months ago | Likes 463 Dislikes 4

Virginia officials had already stated that even if SCOTUS had ruled in their favor, if it hadn't been before May 14th they wouldn't have been able to implement it in time.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

More fucking GOP power grab cause they know they cannot win playing by the rules.

Hope the 2nd amendment folks are getting ready …. Oh wait… they are so ignorant they are cheering. Fucking maga dolts

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The party of state’s rights.

3 months ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 2

So long as it’s a RED state…

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is anyone from your state picketing these judges' homes, the capital, like, is there any public pushback from the local public, or are they just rolling over?

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Just use the voted on maps and fuck the scotus decision. Thats exactly what republicans have done in the past.

3 months ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

The Ohio Doctrine

Fires pretty good at cleaning

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

AOC said that this wasn't a legal decision, this was overturning an election. Get used to it, folks.

3 months ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

How about dont get used to it? The people turning against the people that put them in power is not immortal and have names and addresses.

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Only option is Luigi the terrorist threats..

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It happened in Missouri with a vote about abortion rights

3 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Florida used the maps declared illegal and that went fine.

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I love how they just went “well have the election and then we will see”. I kind of think it was because it wasn’t by a huge margin but they don’t get to hedge their bets on court rulings with a peak at an election they wanted to see if they could overturn it without getting yelled at too much.

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Voting is dead. You all know what is the logical consequence from this. Revolution.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's the reason behind most of what they do.

Yep

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Wow, I can't believe you're calling for violence! You leftist extremists are all psychotic Marxists!!! /jk but Fox News and other far-right media really did claim Hasan was calling for violence by saying the quote in this context.

3 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

American are unable of violent revolution

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like you Americans will actually do anything but whine and continue to vote against your own interests...

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Yeah and water gets you wet. Maybe if you tell the baby eating pedo nazis how unfair they're being they will stop and the deranged fascist oligarchy will magically just go away for your convenience. They do this shit because americans endlessly let them.
At this point i don't even blame magats or the billionaires and their shills. I blame the rest of america and their endless compliance.

3 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 8

The problem comes down to peaceful protest by force. There CAN'T be riots because american cops have actual military hardware and no qualms about attacking people. Peaceful protests result in people being held in jail with broken bones with the processing being drug out to make sure they suffer. Rubber bullets, tear gas, and in at least one occasion people being stuck in handcuffs in vans with deafening sounds played all night. There's no "letting", there's only trying not to get killed.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Yes and they torture, rape and murder people just the same as we speak only difference is they're not afraid to do it. Because they get away with it.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Black panthers had plenty of peaceful protests. Police don’t get paid enough to risk being buried. They’ll use hand sanitizer before they charge a school shooter.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So what you're saying is that you're not citizens any more but indentured slaves who are under the threat of torture and execution for non-complicance. Wasn't "freedom or death" a very distinctly american talking point at some point? And doesn't the US have more firearms in civilian hands than actual civilian hands? You guys need to organize and start thinking about at which point you're gonna start saying "no" with a gun in your hand. Because otherwise you're gonna end up in Nazi Germany.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Americans are boot licking cowards.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

They are already using violence and escalating at every turn. Americans still live in the pathetic delusion that fascism will just conveniently go away. It won't.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, you get that wrong. Because the state is violent, there is no other way than a riot, because you have to be prepared for them using violence. People in more violent socities also choose more violent options. Problem in US is your individualism, no one want to sacrifice themselves for greater good. "Yeh, I want chance but it could cost ME something so naah"

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The way I see it, the SCOTUS just made sure to drive a massive amount of voter turnout for the Democrats in the next election. More people will probably go vote, out of spite.

3 months ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 2

Only if we drag our people to vote, kicking and screaming if we have to

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sadly it's the SCoVA not SCotUS. Not that they're any less corrupt mind, but it's a different entity being shitty.

3 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

No, this was was the SCotUS backing up the SCoVA. SCotUS just saidd SCoVA gets the final say, so the map and vote are dead.

3 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Vote anyway. Be sure to research your candidates too so we don’t end up with Dinos like Fetterman. Or have ties to AIPAC.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

/2 Case in point - the lone Democrat in Tennessee just *ended his entire election campaign* because they redid the districts such that it would be entirely impossible for him to win re-election and he knows it.

https://abcnews.com/Politics/wireStory/rep-steve-cohen-ending-campaign-tennessee-after-redraw-133005039

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is kind of the whole problem though - for those who live in the red states redoing the maps, like for example Tennessee, there are now *not enough potential Democrat voters in any district in the ENTIRE STATE to actually attain a Democrat victory unless a HUGE number of Republicans defect*. And they ain't.

I agree that more of us need to vote - but we can't deny the simple fact that the reason these fuckos are doing this is because it eliminates the *possibility* of an opposition victory.

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

When do the riots start?

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just as soon as americans first make tiktoks about it all and get enough clout

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

or until enough people have no more to lose. Sigh

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I voted yes. But the fact is they didn't follow the rules. I think, sadly, that the Virginia Supreme Court got it right. Every loss is not a political disgrace.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 8

Where's the same judicial care when Republican measures to kneecap voting get shoved in just before elections

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Where is the same care? I'm my heart and my comments. If you have a problem with an inconstant court, fine. But this day and issue must be judged on the merits.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This isn’t true! They absolutely followed the rules, the court made up some absolute bullshit that because early voting had started it didn’t count as “before the election”. Just a result looking for an excuse.

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

You sure about that? You sure it's bullshit? The idea of "before an election" was all about allowing voters to vote between the two events. Many voters didn't get that chance because they had participated in the early voting that I -- and probably you -- support. So do you think it was ok to deny thousands of people the chance to vote IN LIGHT OF the redistricting amendment? Are you sure about that?

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yes of course I'm sure about it, it's black letter law. Couldn't possibly be clearer, couldn't possibly be interpreted any other way.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also those people you're pretending were denied a chance to vote literally voted directly for (or against) the amendment itself.
