I agree on this but I find it hard to believe there are only ever 2 sith

Dangerous, if misread, the prophecy can be.

Arbitrarily drawing a line where there are 2 jedi and 2 sith. Why not draw that line at the point when Vader kills the emperor?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was always my theory. 10000 space wizards without an enemy can get pretty bored.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

This is always how I saw it. It depends on your point of view

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think the Jedis were the unbalance. They needed the dark side to bring balance back to the force.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Someone needs to do their research....

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Star wars fans, crucify me if im wrong, but werent most jedi before that jedi order more gray with the force. Like Qui Gon?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For awhile yeah but out of fear of them delving too deep into the dark side they banned such practices

But the younglings!

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

What about the force unleashed story line? He's a third Sith, not a Sith Lord, but another Sith.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Jedi and Sith are literally just two of the same religions fighting because of slightly different views. One tries to suppress 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Emotions and the other relies/let's their emotions control them. Both are wrong yet they both need each other to survive/find synergy

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn, you got me there.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Y'all need grey jedi. Revan for the win!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"only sith speak in absolutes"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well plus the few hundred surviving Jedi hardly talked about, all the dark Jedi, the Inquisitors used by the empire, the dark side assassins

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh and Ahsoka Tano who was technically a grey Jedi.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's if you see the Jedi and Sith as being two sides of one coin rather than the coin being the Jedi and the Sith being rust on the coin.

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

thank you, the way the jedi see balance is light side only and all dark side is corruption, because an equal amount of good and evil sucks

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Found the Rebel scum.

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Guilty as charged, buckethead!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

yep, and people get annoyed with my when I call the rebels the bad guys to. Come on, they are terrorists fighting a duly elected government

9 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 12

THIS. ^^

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The Jedi wanted to assassinate Palpatine, an elected official, because they suspected that he followed a different religion.

TheEmpireDidNothingWrong.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yeah, fuck those guys fighting space Hitler.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

By planet extermination, prisoners and I forgot cruelty to any specie.. so yeah.. elected

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

But if the rebels weren't fighting would any of that had happened?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Yes.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Actually it would have, it's well known the empire had heavy racism against all non-human species, even before the rebellion.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most of it is attributed to the emperor.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah no not elected. Also the Empire was literally founded on slavery and oppression of aliens.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Wasn't it founded out of the republic fight against the separatists droid armies and the Jedi attacking chancellor Palpatine?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And the Jedi weren't an oppressive regime?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Jedi literally weren't a government entity. They were a private philanthropic organization.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A armed religious organization that taught children they shouldn't fall in love, or have passion of any kind. It's all point of view.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But the senate was dissolved. There were no elections.

9 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 1

He was voted into office and given emergency powers by a motion by representative Jar Jar Binks of Naboo and a vote by the senate.

9 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 7

That entire plot line was ripped off from the rise of Adolf Hitler. You're making the argument that Hitler was the good guy.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I'm not saying anything about him.I'm talking about a completely fictional story about a fictional person. Lets not bring Hitler into this.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Your argument is that because Palpatine came to power through relatively democratic principles, he's morally justified in doing evil things.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Jar Jar really was the worst..

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And never gave back those powers, which was part of the negotiations for his gaining of the powers.

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

All you gotta do is keep the 'emergency' going and you're golden

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

... by staging a rebellion! Genius!

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

And then ordered the execution of all Jedi and blew up a planet

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Did he? He enacted a protocol from a threat. The Jedi went up to his office and attacked him. I heard Alderan was an industrial accident?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

The jedi went to his office to arrest him and he resisted. They literally said "in the name of the galactic senate you are under arrest"

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Alderaan shot first

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, and the jedi council was as bad as the sith too! They wanted to kill an elected official without trial!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Actually true, this is why the Jedi Order failed, they truly had lost sight of right and wrong.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yep, once you adopt the mindset that people are "too dangerous to be kept alive" you're as evil as the sith

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe not evil, but you're definitely not good anymore. It's not good to be so black and white, since "only a Sith, deals in absolutes"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But saying that only siths deal in absolutes is, itself, an absolute!
