We are not mental heath workers.
If adding more funds to social services so they can respond to emergency petitions and domestic calls than im all in. We are not trained in mental health. I am actually proud to be an officer but it today’s climate the blue felt appropriate. FP edit: wow thank you so much, glad to see a lot of like minded people. Depends on the department and state. In Texas, we get deescalation, crisis intervention, reality based scenario training, etc.

They tazed him, slammed him in the concrete, and charged him with assaulting an officer (Dude tripped over his foot.) We got charges removed

My brother got arrested and they charged him with “attempted disorderly conduct” for waving goodbye from the porch as his friend got 1/x

Put in an ambulance to be taken for help for a mental break down. Officers told him to get inside he said he was just trying to say 2/x
