Proper use of unpopular opinion puffin : With ALL the respect in the world, I disagree.
I have 2 children, one of whom begins 1st grade this year. I live in Kansas, where much opposition to Obamas ruling regarding bathrooms in public schools resides. While I typically don't side with the conservatives in the state this issue really scares me. Regardless of anybodys feelings on the issue, kids in elementary schools are just too young to be exposed to this side of the world. I feel like issues like this one take away my right to raise my children how I see fit. I don't think a 6 year old needs to have the concept put into their head that their gender could be "wrong". To mandate that this issue be recognized and accommodated for at such young ages is to mandate that I must address this social issue with my children, who I fear are not emotionally mature enough to understand such a controversial and adult subject.
TL;DR were a hop, skip, and a jump away from sacrificing parental rights and just sending our offspring to communal child rearing facilities.
