The fully assembled and painted result. 2B is about to smash some machines for sure.

The very unassuming arrival.

Setting out pins for the base concrete fragments. I suggest pinning everything except the head and weapon mounts.

The base was finished first.

I created a mock epoxy skirt with epoxy putty to test palettes and shading. This was incredibly useful and probably has 10+ coats of paint at this point.

I simplified the skirt pattern to try to shrink it to fit on the skirt. I ended up cutting this in favor of a plain line. I plan to revisit this with more freehanding experience. While I could maintain the necessary 0.2 mm strokes on flat paper, I found it difficult to create the same result on the skirt's curvature.

Painted yet unassembled 2B. The joint sockets do not align well. The straight leg will leave a large gap at the socket or rub together with the bent leg. I ended up filling the straight leg socket with epoxy putty and melding it to fit the leg. The arm to katana joint was also misaligned, so I shaved and filled in the pin that comes by default with more epoxy putty.

"Are these recovered parts of the same design as the previous ones?"

In all her glory, I sculpted the lunar tear out of epoxy putty.

Such meticulous detail was given to the booty by the original sculptor, truly a masterpiece.

The weapons were by far the most difficult part to paint. The tiny details on the Virtuous Contract were tough to get clean lines with.

She probably prefers android, but iphone apps make more money for developers ;_;

Sometimes, the hardest enemy to beat is yourself.
