I've found that on mobile, there's a little pause before the loop. These aren't all flawless but there's no hard hitches.

My phone used to run perfect loops, now, like you said, it freezes for a moment every loop. Kinda ruins the point. Blame imgur servers

Blame your phone. As soon as gif gets loaded into your phone, showing it is completely local process, not outside servers involved.
